My god child (an LSU alum) is having an engagement party on the night of November frickin 18th. Luckily we have a day game on the 18th. Fiancé says he's a duck hunter and even has a Boykin, so how can that even happen at that time of year? I'm gonna miss a day and a half of deer season for it, only because family is most important.

That said, I'll gladly go to the June wedding. Weddings are awesome!

Most weddings feature a bunch of corpulent una-browed bridesmaids line-dancing while their baws smoke outside. The “money-dance” ensues and the newly wed couple will never leave (“everyone was having sooo much fun...”).

stop going to poor people weddings.

Nobody hates weddings more than me.

Unless I’m IN the wedding and have to be there, I never go.

There’s nothing worse in the world than weddings.

You obviously have not been invited to a wedding at St James Boat Club!!!!
I hate invitations too but if it says St James Boat Club, I'm IN!!

Spot on. They are ALWAYS the same. I hate weddings. How about not following the same stale routine?

Love weddings. Despite being an atheist, I've always wanted to attend one at St. Louis Cathedral and finally got to attend my cousin's wedding there recently. I enjoy throwing on a nice suit, seeing family I haven't seen in a while, and eating good food. I look forward to a good wedding every few years.

I like going to weddings. I am glad that I'm done being a groomsman in weddings though. All my buds are married.

I feel your sentiment, but yes, there are greater disappointments.

I swear if my thread title was "Is there anything better than getting invited to a wedding?" every post in here would be about how fricking awful weddings are. You're all just a bunch of contrarians. There would still be someone calling me gay though

100% accurate, you homo.
