Once he’s back downtown, the bus station is walkable from Happy’s/his hotel.
That's a pretty good stumble in his condition. Over 3/4 mile

Everyone I’ve known with an addiction issue will do anything they can get their hands on, even if their main vice may be alcohol. He probably just went completely off the rails.
Correct.

From the start you could tell this was a drug/alcohol issue. It’s almost always the case.
Incorrect.

We went out a few months ago and I had a coworker who was supposed to stay at another coworkers house that was within walking distance leave the bar without telling anyone and stumble 1.2 miles in the wrong direction. Just happened to get picked up by someone he knew who saw him walking... He had put a truckstop carwash in his phone and that was where he was headed.

Lands in Br at 1:55pm. Rents car at the airport. Probably grabs a sixer at the local gas station. Heads to the Marriot. Meets Josh at the hotel room. Head to Happys to pregame. Takes a Lyft to the game. 6pm tipoff. The wife said he facedtimed her at 6:30pm so he was at least there for the first quarter. Lyft to Penthouse. Lyft to Happys. Leaves or gets kicked out at 1130. Sits on the patio at Milfreds. Gets up and heads east down Convention. Loses phone at convention and 7th. Speculation but runs into a homeless person, acts about drugs, homeless guy brings him to the bus station. Hits up ATM several times. New info says at 230 he was talking to a homeless lady about finding his hotel but he didn't have his phone. From that point on would be the what happened. Did he wander around and something happened or did he return to buy more drugs and died in a trap house.
Too many people are concerned about Josh's actions but if I'm Josh and I am business friends with this guy and it plays out like this. Two dudes have beers and a good time drinking, basketball, strip club. Then Nathan says let's get a little crazy and really party. Josh says no thanks, I'm just going to head up to the room. Nathan says hes gonna go have some fun. The next morning if I'm at the jobsite I would be concerned enough to go look for him and call the cops.

Ok so the penthouse was before Happys? That would make more sense.
They went to the Penthouse first from the game. and he was so trashed that Happys refused to keep serving him.

Just listened to the UWK interview with the guy that discovered the body. What the hell was that dude doing cruising around that area at 3:00am. Also, he smelled something bad as he's driving by, so he decides to go check it out at 3:00am. he's prepared to do so with his flashlight.
This story stinks worse than the corpse.
armchair investigator here, but that dude is definitely the person who disposed of the body. either that or where the body was found is his go to spot for smoking crack/banging hookers, or whatever you do at a place like that at 3 in the morning.

I doubt he was the 'cleaner' but it does sound an awful lot like he knew what he was looking for and trying to collect the reward.

Great interview and a great get for local media.
BTW - it's insane to me how Kiran is literally one of BR's best investigative reporters, runs her own blogger site, and is so good at her job that local news is afraid to employ her. She's like a one-woman show who is somehow able to shine brighter than the multi-million dollar funded local media here. Asked questions so hard that WAFB was forced to can her thanks to the mayor's pressure. That is completely nuts to me and really should be a much, much bigger story than it ended up being.
Could there ultimately be anything more embarrassing to WAFB or WBRZ than this?

Yeah, there is really only 3 houses that might be within smelling distance so if someone random just happened upon that area then they knew he was there.

According to WBRZ, a preliminary autopsy report of Millard will be available today.

Methinks Josh got tired of babysitting at 11:30 when Millard got them kicked out of Happy's.

The search for a missing Georgia man who was last seen in Louisiana has intensified.
Nathan Millard, 42, was last seen leaving a Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Baton Rouge. Now Texas EquuSearch is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that will help find him.
"The reward is in hopes of getting some leads on this case so we can bring some closure to the family," founder and director of Texas EquuSeach Tim Miller said. "EquuSearch is offering up to $10,000 for any information that would lead them to Millard, alive or deceased."
The organization joined the search for Millard on Thursday along with numerous volunteers.

Millard was last seen leaving his hotel room to attend the LSU-Vanderbilt basketball game. After the game, Millard and a client went to Happy's Irish Pub around 9:30 p.m.
According to the client, Millard said he was going back to his hotel room, which was less than a two-minute walk from the pub. He never made it back. A city worker later found Millard's phone about four blocks from the hotel. His debit card was also used after he left the pub and had activity on it until Saturday when Millard's wife, Amber, finally froze it.
Millard was last seen wearing a green hat, black shirt and blue jeans. He stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.
Anyone with information on his disappearance is asked to contact Louisiana police at 225-389-3853 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.

I can't believe it took a week to find him, it seems like that would be a prime spot for crackheads to hang out

That is definitely the remnants of a stolen sharps box from a medical institution... Used anesthesia drug vials.
