What a moment for Auburn's Andrew Dutton on Wednesday night. Per SDS:
quote:

Andrew Dutton joined the Auburn baseball team after four seasons at Birmingham-Southern, which shut down in 2024 even as the program made a dramatic run to the Division III College World Series.

Dutton is now serving in a dual role with the Tigers baseball program. Not only did he transfer in with his brother Samuel, a right-handed pitcher formerly at LSU, but he also serves as the team’s first base coach.

And Tuesday brought one of the more emotional moments of the Tigers’ 2025 season.

Dutton entered as a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the 5th during the Tigers’ regular season home finale against Jacksonville State. And in his first at-bat of the year, he stepped up and hit a 2-1 pitch over the right field wall for a home run.
