If we going that harsh then they need to raise the driving age. at least 2 years with a permit, ban smoking, the radio, cup holders and phones. No eating in your car, and any one diagnosed with add can not have a license.

That would stop a shite ton of accidents rt there.

Some states are def more stricter on it. AZ being one of them.

According to Google:

For a 1st offense of an extreme DUI, you may face:

•30 days in jail.
•A fine of at least $2,500.
•Required completion of an alcohol/drug screening, treatment, and education program.
•An ignition interlock requirement for every vehicle you drive.
•Community service.

When I worked in Phoenix, a coworker got one of these. He claimed he could not be an alcoholic because he only drank beer. He could drink a case a day.......

It didn't help that he got into a fist fight with the cop that stopped him!

frick you you nanny state pussy.

.08 ain't shite. To lump all DWI's together shows how truly stupid you really are. I hope you're sterile so that the world is not cursed with your seed.

We are not tough enough on DWI. DWI is one of the top public safety concerns.

If texting and driving is as dangerous as drinking and driving, while aren't those individuals arrested and prosecuted accordingly?

I hate to sound callous but how abominable an action is greatly depends on if they hurt somebody else.

Driving drunk is irresponsible and inherently dangerous to both the driver and others on the road. There are other activities that are also inherently dangerous and irresponsible but they don't become felonies until said negligence results in bodily harm to others.

For instance: putting a kid on a 4-wheeler with you and stunting it around the yard is not necessarily a felony. My neighbors do this shite all the time and seem to enjoy themselves. If you get into an accident and that kid dies then your arse is going to jail and everyone will hate you.

Shooting your guns up in the air on NYE. You're probably not going to get charged with a felony. Hell, some OTer's neighbor shot bullets through his apartment and only got a misdemeanor. One of those bullets hits somebody and kills them then that same action now becomes a felony with years of anal penetration included.

Then there's texting and driving. Probably just as dangerous as DUI.

This doesn't matter. Read the Advocate on Sunday/Monday mornings and you'll see the DWI report. I'd venture to say half of them involve "driving with a suspended license".

First offense? Are you fricking kidding me? 2nd offense...okay maybe go harder, but 1st timer? Damn.

People shouldnt be afraid of the laws, they should be afraid of killing themselves.

This. People that drive drunk are obviously more of a threat than your typical murderer.

I think cruelty to animals is rather lightly punished. Here's a guy that videotaped himself having sex with his puppy. You get one guess at which state this took place in.

Wow. You are a shite bag.

1st offense Texting and driving deserves 2 year minimum sentence in Adolf Hitler's a-hole.

Mine doesn't sound nearly as absurd as your nonsense.

Hell, even thinking about drinking while you're driving should get you a dwi.

Even using mouthwash in the morning before heading to work should get you tazed and hauled away.

Why? Why is one drink too many to drive?

What about half a drink? Should cops sit outside of nice restaurants, pull everyone over once they leave and sentence them to your preferred punishment?

As long as our legal system allows Asian, Black, and Caucasion women behind the wheel of a 4,000 pound vehicle, then I should be allowed to drink 3 fingers of bourbon whilst I drive my '96 Geo Metro.
