Have I got a girlfriend for you.

No, that sounds like some shite that rude Yankees would do.

The older you get, the more you appreciate it.

That girl would dominate if she played on the O line for a single A (non select Division 4 now?) HS football team.

Yes….there is an oil change place in my area that suddenly started having one employee talk to you the whole time while you get your oil changed. They do a good job and are quick. I dealt with it a couple of times, but the awkwardness just got to be too much and I haven’t been back.

Further proof that people will complain about anything and everything.

You prefer to get your haircut in silence?

If I did visit such a place and they small talk with me though, I would have a little fun with it and turn the conversation a little dark. For example, if Johnny Overfriendly is trying to sell me a microwave, after stringing him along for a minute or two I'd say something like "do you think this model is adequate for microwaving a live rabbit?"
oh wow man I bet you REALLY freak out those squares!

Publix is the right amount of friendly but not creepy. We are "store friends" with the pharmacy lady and a couple of check-out employees. We live about a mile away from our closest one, so it's nice.
We also have QQ & Eden (husband and wife duo) that manage the sushi station at the Publix next to my work. Publix has $5 rolls on Wednesdays. QQ makes us sea-side out tuna and salmon rolls every Wednesday, not offered in the case. She always lights up when we come in (speaks about four sentences in English), is super fast and pleasant. Maybe the limited communication helps.

The Church's on Highland, across from Blue Bayou. Every time I went in there, the employees (both male and female) got VERY flirtatious with me, to the point where it was getting to be a little much.

So edgy. Kid would probably post a video of your stupid comments to SM and you lose your job or get a bunch of
Bunny huggers protesting at your home.
Just STFU, be grateful for his congeniality, and move on. You’re not
Near as witty as you think you are.
And I guarantee you the OP is a miserable frick who bitches about everything.

Only one place comes to mind, and I dont think they even do it anymore. Firehouse subs, "WELCOME TO FIREHOUSE" as soon as you walk in the door.

It's really just the check out cashiers.

I dislike friendly pleasant establishments

Car dealership and weed dealer.

Not really. But I don’t like all kinds of questions and small talk when I’m in a business or a store.
I’m an introvert and dislike getting my haircut Too many extroverts that want to talk to me the entire time. A couple of questions at the beginning is fine. Any other questions should relate to my hair.
