Social media amplifies everything.
I’d say the time period that had water fountains for “whites only” and “coloreds only” was more racist.

To the original question, I think less racist generally, but there is a strong public push by mainstream conservatives to legitimize racism today, which is very destructive. More intellectual conservatives are in a tough spot. However, the present core of conservatism is anti-intellectual. They are embracing racism as some kind of pride movement, which is nonsense.

EX: feminism argument from before "MEN are making women dress SEXY by objectifying them in magazines, and setting styles for what women wear!
Magazine before
Okay, we have moved away from that, women dress themselves, they are designers, and run blogs and women dominate the entire magazine industry (elle,cosmo,allure,glamour,redbook, etc...all WOMEN RUN)
And we see what women wear today, it's not ANY more conservative than it was in the 80s to present....so was it "MEN!" or do women just like to dress like sluts?
Now use the same argument re: minorities and stereotypes.

My agenda?
My agenda is taking a hard look at history, truthfully and objectively, and seeing what has made us. What strengthened us and what weakened us.
You know what made us strong? Fathers. Fathers who provided for their families, for their progeny. Who led. Who struggled and arrived and succeeded.
You know what makes us weak?
The emasculation of the father as the protector and provider. The usurpation of the father as the oak under which acorns sprouted and the willow was shielded from the wind.
That cuts across all racial lines. Some are hit harder than others. And the reasons behind it are nefarious at best.
You can do the math.

Are you serious? You are asking if America today is more racist than a time when it was institutionalized and sanctioned, and black people had to ride in the back of the bus, weren't allowed in white restaurants, went do different schools, used different bathrooms, and drank out of different water fountains?
