Henredon, Drexel Heritage, Maiden Home, Vaughan-Basset, Floyd, Burrow, Simplicity Sofas, The Inside, and All Form.
I think they are all still US made.
I feel for anyone shopping for furniture in SELA outside a few small stores where most has to be ordered the pickings are mainly crap. Is Design Within Reach still open in NOLA?
We are about an hour from the Hickory/Highpoint area and all the stores have trucks that deliver to our area every couple of weeks. Some of the stores take half the day just to walk through and the deals can be incredible.
When we built our camp we gave up shopping in BR and just bought it in NC and shipped it down.

Honestly if I ever need to buy furniture in the future I will probably look around for estate sales. I’ve seen some really nice stuff at those sales.
That is what we do. My wife has an eye for furniture and we buy nice items and refinish them.
You can’t do that with a couch though. It’s the one thing you have to pay for new - and every couch I buy disappoints me.
(Before you ask) Here is a photo of a girl that looks nothing like my wife with furniture.

We just ordered a new couch and I’m still pissed at the price. Also pissed that it’s going to be 3 more months before we even get it.
Where did you find a couch with 3 month wait? We ordered one a while back was supposed to be 6 months. Cancelled it because someone was going to get us the same thing far far cheaper but with 10 month wait. That person retired and said she wasnt going to order it.

Dropped $3200 on a couch and loveseat about a year ago. Paying that much disgusted me, but you don’t get quality if you go much lower than that.

I think she ordered it from pottery barn. Put the order in early November and supposed to be here by the end of January. We’ll see.

We purchased our leather couch and two recliners from
La-Z-Boy when they were on sale. They had a wide selection of colors to choose from. That was 20 years ago and we're still happy with our purchase.

You're probably right, the one thing you could do is try to get it reupholstered, although I don't know how much you'd save at that point.

Good furniture is forking expensive now. We just ordered a new couch and I’m still pissed at the price. Also pissed that it’s going to be 3 more months before we even get it.
Yea not sure the OP understands furniture biz. My Ex1 and I bought a decent quality leather sectional from Bassett around 2004. It was $3500 or so(they look to be around $5-7k now). She still fricking has that sofa and it looks good(think she had it cleaned professionally a few years ago).

TLDR decent furniture costs about twice what you paid, OP.

I'm trying to remember what I paid for a leather couch and an ottoman - I bought them about 8 years ago. I think it was in the ballpark of $4k. They've held up pretty well.

Its kind like how they replaced milk with powdered milk for the CPI basket of goods to hide inflation.
Real furniture is stupid expensive, but worth not having to replace every 3 years like the rest of this junk that passes as furniture. The problem is finding good options, most furniture stores selling nothing but junk.

Got a lazy baw recliner last year for $1800.00. Took em 6 months from order to deliver (something about a pandemic) but it is the best recliner I have ever had.

You might as well have said anything that's not purely electronics, and most of those. As much as I love capitalism, this era of people do not want to pay for quality.

I have my Grandmother’s sofa, purchased in the late sixties. Solid as a rock.

Maybe you’re just fat.
We just bought a bedroom suite with king size bed, padded headboard and footboard, 2 nightstands with built in phone chargers, 2 dressers. 20k
Dining room table with 8 chairs. 5k
Entertainment center. 2200
Couch, love seat, coffee table, recliner. 4k
All great quality. But not cheap. Furniture doesn’t seem to have much decent quality for reasonable prices. It’s either cheap and shitty or quality and expensive

bought a $700 couch a couple years ago and it was pure junk. You can tell by how light this new furniture is. Crap materials
This. That’s how I knew what we just bought was good quality. It took 4 grown men to pick up the headboard alone for the bed. Now that it’s assembled you cant move it.

gzus - glad I bought mine 20 years ago - that's crazy. Is decent old furniture selling for a premium now too - not that you'd know - I'm just tossing that out there in case antiquetiger is lurking.
I refinished my nighstands about 5 years ago and made them look brand new - I'm glad I didn't go shopping for new ones.
