It depends on what you plan to do with it. Love my Tacoma 4x4.

I'll concede that all day long. No hate for small trucks. Just doesn't fit what I need it for. I loved my tundra. Wish they'd make a formal 3/4 ton and I'd love it if they partnered with cummins to make one. I'm on my first diesel and I don't think I'll go back to a gasser.

Colorado is the least appealing midsize on the market.

I have a Ranger. It does everything I need a truck to do.

Get a Tacoma if you’re thinking mid sized. You’ll never need to own another vehicle

The new powertrain options are both uninspired and unproven. Get your choice of a Hybrid or turbo 4cyclinder. Blah.

If you’re gonna go midsize, get a Frontier

I’m still driving my 06 Frontier, the only major thing it’s needed so far was an alternator. It only has 80,000 miles on it but it’s still almost 20 years old.

I have a 2024 Canyon AT4 and it’s been great so far. It fits in my garage. I’m a tall guy so I don’t need a giant f350 to compensate.

I went from an 03 Silverado to a 15 Colorado 10 years ago. The Colorado was great for me. But I can see if you are over 6', over 200#, or regularly haul/tow over 6000#, a full size would be better. It's time for a new truck soon...
I dont like the short bed only and 4cyl Turbo offered by Colorado now.

I may go back to full size when mine craps out.

I drive a Tacoma and it's great in the middle of the city, very manuverable. And I live in a house built in 1929 with parking behind the house. I could get a full size truck back there but it would be a constant PIA to get in and out.

Agree.
4 cyl suck for just about anything, especially a truck.

I just got the Ford Maverick and love it. I did switch from a sedan, so the size wasn't a concern. I needed a bed for residential construction projects, and commute a lot for work so I got the hybrid 2WD XLT, 4 doors. Doesnt really have a lot of bells and whistles, but i got it brand new for under 27k. I was looking at used Tacomas for over 35k and a decent Silverado will cost you over 40k. When it comes to a monthly note with 5k down, you're looking at roughly $450 vs $750 on the cheaper end of things. Pretty big difference.

New trucks are too fricking big. They suck arse at actual driving through woods and maneuvering around cities as we

The current “mid size” truck is as big as my ‘95 f150 was….

My next truck is very likely the new canyon at4

There's already a solid population of folks who can't afford their current truck, fewer who actually need it, yet fewer still who actually use their trucks for anything a car can't do.

Why do people want trucks they will never use?

I've got a Nissan frontier crew cab.

Pros:
Good towing capacity
Reliable
Roomy
Comfortable
Decent gas mileage
No electronics problems
Decent acceleration

Cons:
Turning radius fricking sucks
Electronic interface is not very intuitive
Transmission isn't always smooth
Noisy engine

Overall. I recommend.
