We went to Orlando w/ kid & grandkids for a week several years ago - DW, Universal, Sea World. About 10 of us.

They all left early and it was just the wife & me the last day. That’s the day we had the most fun. I’ve been wanting to go back w/o everybody else ever since.

You can always tell the people that save up for a vacation every couple of years in these threads.

My friend and his girlfriend are like this. She shares her name with a very well known Disney character, so she's Disney obsessed and they go every year at Christmas.

Why do you care? they do what they like, you do what you like. This is the problem with America today a bunch of pansy asses passing value judgments on others.

Never went as a kid so I'm not nostalgic. Went first time recently and was impressed and it was great watching our kids enjoy it. We've gone back twice and it gets less magical for them each time. I can't fathom choosing to go without kids. The parks are impressively well run but I prefer coasters not cartoon themed floating rides and black lights. There seemed to be a disproportionately large number of weird child-less adults roaming about.

My wives Aunt has no children, and went to Disney World 12-15 times a year when she lived in Missouri. Now, they live in Central Florida and she goes even more.

She goes by herself.

Why do we have this thread every other week?

If people enjoy going to disney, then go for it. Who gives a frick what others think. There are far weirder things than adults going to Disney world. There is stuff to do in Disney that go beyond Disney themed rides.

Exactly. The food is mediocre at best, just made for mass consumption and very over priced. The waits for lines are outrageous unless you pay extra for the fast pass. It’s overcrowed and it’s the same thing every year.

There's actually a frickton of really nice restaurants in the parks, at the resorts, and in Disney Springs. Would agree that most are overpriced as would be expected. And as mentioned, there's no premium for fast passes.

It certainly seems like it with some of these responses. I didn’t realize Louisiana was so obsessed, because there are certainly a lot of defensive answers.

One time I went on a business trip to Orlando we spent a day at Epcot all on the owners dime. I’m talking about 10+ middle aged adults. I was one of the youngest people in our group but every one seemed to enjoy ourselves.

My wife and I are taking our son to Disney this summer and I’m excited for my son to experience Disney. It has its issues but the atmosphere is unreal

Im not much of a Dinseyworld person. I went twice as a child. The first time I had alot of fun, but mostly because it was the only family vacation my family ever took with both of my grandparents. Now that my grandparents have passed on, that trip does hold a special place in my heart. The actual time spent in Disneyworld was pretty forgettable.

We went again a couple of years later, again it was not that great. I thought Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure were cool. There are some fun attractions, but I have not been back since then. I don't feel like im missing anything at all. I have had better vacations.

On the other hand, I do know 3 coworkers who go to Disney world every year. Im firstly confused because I have never seen coworkers love each other so much that they go on complete vacations together. Not only that they are in love with Disney. I consider myself a big kid because I will still sit down and watch lion King, Little mermaid, or Toy Story when it comes on TV. These guys take it to another level than me. I do t buy Disney memorabilia to have all over my office. Then they all take pictures with Mickey Mouse and the rest of the gang everytime they go.

I don't hate on them at all. I'm glad they are doing what makes them happy. But they do come off as very weird to me.

Different strokes for different folks.

We like to travel internationally.

Some people like to go camping.

Some people like cruises.

And some people like The Magic Kingdom.

Their money. And I highly doubt they are going to go all Michael Jackson there.

Let them be.

Every single place I ate at tasted like Aramark, every single one. I’m gonna disagree there are nice ones anywhere in the parks.
