I've blocked a lot of folks recently on both Facebook and Twitter (I have those only to keep up with some religious sites).

Not for dropping them on Facebook. The need to post this thread tells me you probably are for very different reasons.

Believe me they are just as tired of people promoting our dipshit president as you are of people promoting liberal ideas. Social media being a useless cesspool is probably one of the few things reasonable people n both sides can agree with.

I prefer my FB friends who I have no idea how they vote most of the time. People I’ve known for years, and they keep their politics to themselves.

I try hard to hear both sides of issues and for years I have kept a couple of leftist friends active on facebook.

That's just weird how you refer to your alleged friends. Do you call your other friends right-wing?

Is it that hard to just not go on Facebook for some of you? I get on mine maybe twice a year, usually only if I "check-in" at some concert or something. I have left, right and centerist friends but their opinion only matters if you take the time to read and respond to it.

Is it real hard for some of you to control who you are friends with and what groups or friends you follow?
That seems to be a tough issue for the OT in regards to Facebook

I’ve been unfollowing a lot of people lately. We can still be cool irl even if their opinions are pants on head retarded.

If you have crazy leftists as Facebook friends, you may want to perform a search of your profile history for any buzzwords that could be used against you in the future.

The only two reasons I keep FB are: extended family for kiddo pics etc. I guess I could replace that w something else. That something cake something family pic app went belly up though. And groups like specific RVs and book genres etc. That's actually the most useful thing for me. There are lots of forums out there for that sort or thing but FB has sort of cornered that market.

I just unfollow everyone else.

The better solution would be to defriend everyone by deleting your Facebook account. The bad far outweighs the good now.

I have immediate family members who don't live around me who I snooze for 30 days. On day 31 I'll start seeing their dumbass posts and have to snooze them.

Any others, especially the ones who talk about white privilege and how awful white people are (just for having the nerve to be white), they just get deleted out of my life. Usually they are people I went to high school or was in the Navy with. But regardless, I don't have patience to deal with these types because they don't live in reality. Of course, I'm starting to wish MY reality was different and there was a destination I could aim my escape pod to. I only really use facebook for the marketplace or to bitch about the local govt's ignorance while tagging them. And yeah I should probably delete it.

3 choices
1. Cancel FB account and don’t look back
2. Unfriend the ones
3, put them on “block” setting; I recently did that with a couple of people.

Just mute them.

I’ve had to do this a lot with people on Instagram. Got rid of Facebook years ago. Every girl between 23-28 has been virtue signaling ad nauseam 5-6 times a day about the black, trans fight for equality in cities they’ve visited once.

Racism is the belief that one’s race is superior to others. How in the frick does that have anything to do with unfriending someone? Everyone needs to STOP using that word for EVERYTHING.
