Sure it is. With the exception of one monthly Sam's trip, we probably spend an average of $60-70/trip for a family of 3.
Now, I also hunt, fish, and garden, so we get a good bit of our food from those sources.

We probably spend $700-900 per month with two adults and a teenager. Granted we eat a lot of tuna, salmon, steaks etc. We could do it cheaper if we had to.

We workout and eat healthy. Family of 5 is about $1500 for food and toiletries a month with extremely limited eating out.
