Turns out that allowing the plaintiff trial lawyers to dominate state politics has consequences. Who knew?

But we just passed tort reform

Also, just FWIW, sticker prices going insane means insurance has to increase in kind. Property claims have sky rocketed b/c car costs have sky rocketed. Has nothing to do with PI firms (as almost all of them don't touch property).

any one with SF use the Drive Safe and Save discount? thought about doing it but dont like the idea of them critiquing my driving and telling me i accelerate to fast.

I do, saves me a decent amount especially since mine went up
Only reason I have it is I work from home
I don’t get out much during the week & put very few miles on it
I doubt it would be helpful if I had to commute everyday

Happening to everyone.

I recently switched to Farm Bureau. They had the best rates

Our auto rates with farm bureau dropped drastically this year.

We maxed our policies and added a 2 mil umbrella and we pay less than we did before. They have a big reevaluation going on and most are seeing huge savings

If you have an older Hyundai, it's probably worse than 27%

Bad enough LA has the #3 highest rates in the Nation. When I moved my USAA rep said "good news your car insurance just went down by 50%" Its ridiculous that they are still jacking the rates up

A few years ago, a lot of insurance companies moved into Louisiana because it was financially beneficial for them. Now, a lot of those who moved here can no longer afford the policies they provide (in Louisiana) therefore they pulled out of the state.

Mine increased $2880 annually. No claims against anyone.

USAA.

Thats just USAA being "military friendly"

Left that company years ago after blindly believing the hype for a long time.

Our daughter changed residency to Mississippi now that she’s not a student but working there. No real difference in insurance prices for the same coverage.

Jim Donelon is like a cheap Airline Hwy prostitute spreading his legs and beckoning the insurance companies to come frick the shite out of him EVERY time a rate increase is requested. Every time.

Gotta see the special man!! Let em' have it! Noooooo problem.

Auto insurance went up 27% on all 3 of our vehicles from the past 6 months. Did all insurance companies raise rates this much or is State Farm sticking it to me? I'm so tired of having to switch insurance companies to get better rates only to have that company raise their rates a year or two later. There has to be a better way... This is because 27-30% equals the amount of inflation we have seen over the past 4-5 years.

They are simply passing this on to their customers.

Again: inflation is approximately 30% aka the U.S. Dollars purchasing power is now worth 30% less than it was 5 years ago.
