Seems like everyone you talk to says something to the effect of "my therapist says"now

White women, pretty much. They love the extended drama.

ETA: they typically have the easiest lives in the world. They need a struggle.

Considering the human brain isn’t in any way wired to deal with a 24 hour international news cycle, constant connectivity, and social media, I would say we probably need far more people in therapy, not fewer.

Do not respond to that statement by saying something like "Oh cool. Does your therapist actually hold you accountable or do you just pay her to positively affirm your thoughts and behavior?"

This is just anecdotal but sometimes when I bang my ole lady like I am trying to kill her, she seems to act better for a few days. Maybe they just need that, and not therapy.
