In our small town when Braxtylynne ends up quitting baseball his freshman year of high school he turns into a preppy redneck that loves rap music. He lets everyone in the Rouses parking lot know.

It's like taking a bunch of threads about trashy stuff and mashing them together.

I’m fairly positive that the OP just wanted to make another unfunny travel ball thread with a stupid name that doesn’t exist without putting it in the title. So he took the scenic route.

Suck it hater
Mom and I went grocery shopping and to Home Depot after we moved her back to LA about 10 days ago. I told her if we're gonna fit in, we're gonna both need to add about 40 pounds each at the least. Folks around here sure are friendly, also slow and fat.

P.S.
She had completely forgotten about grocery stores smelling like fishing docks.

When you take away people’s pride and purpose and make him dependent to the govt, this is what happens.

Unless poverty is truly painful, it takes a lot of willpower to pull yourself out of it. It takes discipline and drive. It’s easy to suck on the govt tit and live in relative comfort. Food available, entertainment, lodging. And it goes unappreciated.

Unless you have skin in the game it’s hard to really care.

There is a lot of truth to this. Plus, if there is any way to fix these problems, this is the best way to present the situation and see if change can be accomplished. Instead, for too many people, it just devolves into a racial issue and no progress is made.

Farmerville has one public high school, a 'Christian' school, and a charter school.

Still full of dumbasses.

Does every small town/city in Louisiana just about fit this description and check these boxes? 40% Democrat Dilapidated buildings that are falling down Shitty public school or two and then a really wannabe preppy private school but fall significantly short of the academic prowess of public schools in other states. But you better not tell the parents sending their kids to these schools because they think Opelousas Catholic is a Harvard prep. Bad roads No jobs, no industry, no local economy Abandoned homes About 70% of the population living off of some form of government assistance A huge drug epidemic A travel ball league with fat parents, who swear Braxtylynne is going pro A really shitty McDonalds, BK, Sonic, and/or Popeyes that’s full of ‘employees’ with no sense of customer service whatsoever. They don’t want to be there and would be considered unemployable by almost any standard if they were in a more educated part of the country. Missing anything?

Not sure what meets the definition of a small town, but there are some towns that don’t meet the description of the OP

Madisonville, Pierre Part, Ruston etc etc

Covington, Mandeville, and Madisonville are majorly Republican. I guess that’s why they are considered nice areas.

Add Prairieville and St. Francisville. There are plenty of prosperous towns and small cities in Louisiana that are the total opposite of what he described.

I’d argue that most of the affluent suburbs, many of which are incorporated and thereby are a city/town, are middle/upper middle class Republican run governments with the highest rated school districts in the state.

You'll find a few in Coastal Maine, in Vermont and Coastal Ak that aren't. One of the advantages of relative isolation and/or low population density. Ski towns are usually exceptions too.

Vermilion Parish is not that way. They have their share of hicks and coonasses but the culcha capita is lower there except for Abbeville. Most of the public schools are doing well in that parish. West Feliciana seems to be doing fine too.
