Is divorce now a group decision?

Maybe CSB, but I'm curious and concerned.
Since the start of the year, three women, all of whom I know and all of whom are friends with each other, have separated from their husbands with intent to divorce.
All of them have similar situations in life:
1) They all work and make less than their husbands
2) They all currently live in decent, if not spectacular, houses that they own with their spouses
3) They are all in their mid to late 30s
4) They all have been married to their current husbands for at least 10 years, and this is their first marriage
5) They all have known their husbands since high school, although may not have dated that long
6) They all have multiple children, age 12 or under
7) None of them are particularly attractive (so, trust me, you don't want the pics)
All three husbands are shocked, surprised, and devastated. None of them I would necessarily put in the beta/cuck category. All three are baws. They all work and make decent money, hunt, fish, etc. There have been no allegations of cheating or infidelity. Financially speaking, all parties will be worse off post-divorce.
I don't think it's a divorce pact per se... but it seems like now that the kids are a bit older and they are a bit secure in life, they just don't want to be married anymore. And I certainly think the first one making a decision gave the other two confidence to make their decisions.
People get divorced all the time. I've seen couples after the kids move out get divorced because the kids were the thing holding the couple together. But I'm pretty shocked by this happening, again, with three women who know each other, with no apparently cause.
What y'all baws seeing out there?

Pretty common at that stage. The women don't feel "loved" and want that feeling again, and Jody is more than willing to accommodate. That's usually the deal.

It’s probably this

It is hard to say without know what is going on behind closed doors.
But if there no real issue, I'm sure they just sit and bitch about their husbands all day and are dreaming of the single life they can all live together now!

What a bunch of selfish counts torpedoing their children's future.
Its a known fact children have it harder in life in general if their parents are separated.

Why are the husbands upset? Because they generally love their wives and families. I'm sure, like all of us, they could have done a better job of showing it.
I'm also sure at some point down the road, they will enjoy the slaying that will be coming. But that time is not here yet.

8) All are addicted to social media.
I bet they think there is better out there for them. They will all be on pills for depression soon enough once they realize that young hot studs aren't lining up to wine and dine them.

It is probably collective complacency by all parts in each marriage.

shite like sex and the city poisoned women's minds. Being a whore is basically celebrated in western culture now.

Women are hypergamous. Do they think a better future as a spoiled Princess awaits them? If so, a lot of them will say see ya. It’s their nature. Like men like to look at cleavage. If they aren’t really morally grounded in some larger belief system that values loyalty, they are going to go the Facebook friend route .

quote:Have to agree with this. The day in day out monotony of marriage takes a toll. The grass is very rarely greener but they try anyway and in a few years the pattern repeats itself.

This has been going on for decades. Women surround them selves with support groups of other women. They all divorce.
If it gives the husbands any solace they should know that invariably the women will be miserable for years, going from man to man and failed relationships one after another.
They will settle for a bad marriage and wish every day that they could go back in time and not be such selfish trifling bitches.

You mean getting married young isn’t working out? Shocking!

Social media is making this more and more of a time bomb, IMO.
I think going forward the most successful couples will be those who married in their late 20s/30s and had enough time out in the world to realize dating can suck.
When you marry Baw at 21 and you do the same thing, every year, for 20 years, it doesn't seem that crazy that the wife gets bored.
