To the old folks, I somewhat understand. They think it might remotely protect them. Kinda like Superman's cape. But the rest, I honestly think it is a sign of being liberal.

I’m surprised y’all are so ate up by it and can’t just let other people do what they want.

It took me a bit this is where I’m at. Let em wear a mask IDGAF but their mask will not affect how I conduct business although I will be polite as I would to anyone else. I was in a meeting 2 weeks ago where i was one of 4 out of 36 who weren’t masked. Had the meeting and most of them pulled their mask down at different times. To me it’s pointless to them it’s necessary.

I’m more dumbfounded that people are so offended by what others do

At any point, did I say it offended me? I thought I was awfully clear that it dumbfounded me…. It was in the title. Thought I made that abundantly obvious.

People can do what they want, but it doesn’t mean I have to normalize it.

There are idiots at the gym still masked up

It’s lunacy.

Exactly.

I’m just confused as to why OP and similar people are angry at other people who wear masks.

It’s their face. If they want to cover it up let ‘em. It doesn’t even phase me anymore.

One could argue that you starting a thread about it means your Jimmie’s are rustled.

Carry on.

I don't think anyone is angry about it. I find it pretty funny. Like going a 5 mile bike ride and then wearing your helmet indefinitely afterwards

I practically never see someone in a mask these days. Maybe once a month or every 3 weeks at least.

OK…. Stop laying baseless accusations, and start quoting where I’m mad. You’re the ones introducing this nonsense. I don’t care, but I’m also not going to start accepting it as normal behavior either.

No. 95% of the current maskers in my part of the world come from a long line of people doing what old white men tell them to.

The other 5% are clowns with 46 bumper stickers on a “eco-friendly” shite box.

I don’t blame old people for masking up to avoid flu or pneumonia
Masking up all but eliminated flu in schools
That’s not a bad thing

You read that into it. I’m just a little amazed at this phenomenon actually, but I think maybe it strikes a little close to your home perhaps, because you seem to be the only one really upset here.

My favorite are the people that wear masks in a crowd of people watching a show or attending a school functions.

I don’t give 2 sh!+s if you or she mask up. Just don’t make me and it’s all good.

A couple of thoughts:
1. Did you accidentally shite your pants?
2. When I was in Tokyo before Covid, it was common to see people wearing masks. I think they were sick and did it out of consideration of others to prevent them from getting sick. Is it possible this lady was doing that?

It's not rocket science. A good portion of the people out there are emotionally driven rather than logically driven.

Fear is probably the single strongest emotion.

The powers that be truly gaslighted everyone in an attempt to make them extremely scared of COVID. For many, masking was how they coped with the risk. They accepted it as protection.

For these people, there's no going back.
