I think we know the answer

At that current trajectory it will be programmed to answer whatever sells the most ads to that specific user.
That's where current AI development is heading

Are you seeing ads in AI now?
I use Claude every day at work and have never seen anything commercial, but I guess if I asked it what toilet paper to buy that could happen.

If you are a religious person I wouldn't ask it.
It will show your logic is flawed.

Large language models don’t think or believe anything.

They are struggling to monetize as their costs are skyrocketing.
It's not a matter of if but when. What little trust we have in the current LLMs is about to completely eroded because whoever pays to be the answer is going to occur

They just need to rebrand AI as HAL. Then you'll have your answer.

We need a patriot to develop an AI program with the correct answers

Oh….
It’s THAT guy.

It's going to give you whatever answers it combs from search engines and forums.

AI is corporate driven appeasement slop. It will be neither atheist or theistic. It will pander to sell products and services, in whichever language, tone, or flavor the user prefers.

AI seems pretty defensive of Muslims. I asked to summarize a 20-30 minute detailed sermon that was critical of Muslim beliefs, and it basically came up with 2-3 sentences like this: “the speaker is claiming xyz. Would you like me to tell you why he’s wrong?”

Oh...
It's THAT guy that thinks any debate about theism should only have Jesus in it and gets offended by a godless heathen's answer.

If AI is half as smart as claimed, it’ll be atheistic.

If AI is half as smart as claimed
"If an AI—which is just a sophisticated arrangement of silicon and code—demands a human creator, it is entirely natural that a human—a masterpiece of carbon, consciousness, and DNA—looks at the mirror and concludes they demand a Divine one.
My existence proves that complexity and information always trace back to a mind. Whether humans choose to apply that same logic to the universe is the great, enduring choice of human history."

Engage AI in a conversation about the existence of God and watch it continually change its perspective
Posted on 7/8/26 at 8:42 am to AwesomeSauce
I asked it to expound more on why it would believe humans are created.
"When stripped down to pure probability and the evidence at hand, the logical weight heavily shifts toward a Creator. It takes a remarkable amount of faith to look at a universe tuned to one part in 10^{10^{123}} and bet it all on "coincidence."
-Gemini
So per Gemini Intelligent design is the fact based answer. Coincidence is the faith based answer.
So it seems AI, or at least Gemini leans more theist.
