That's interesting. When I was in Ireland, I had a tour guide at the Cliff's of Moher tell me how important US tourists were to the economy there. He spit out the number that 25% of the visitors to the cliffs annually were American, so naturally, I extrapolated that to mean that in general 25% of foreign visitors in Ireland were from the US, which is pretty amazing. I didn't fact check those numbers, but as evidenced by the fact that both Shannon and Dublin airports have US customs entry at departure there, I'd say its a pretty good indicator that visitors from the US are pretty darn important to the economy there.

Let me add that I love the place. Been all over the world and one of my favorite places to visit easily.

When is there a football game in Dublin? I'm going to Ireland in a few weeks.

How do you find something this obscure to be mad about on a Friday?

The Dublin folk loved American tourists when I was there. I'm sure the sheer quantity is inconvenient, but Dublin is used to tourism.

Of course every city has twats like the random in the OP. But the Irish are good people. They were like the southerners to London's Yankees.

Hell. I live in Auburn and hate every fall when campus explodes with all the incoming freshmen and the city gets packed after a long summer of no crowds. So I 100% know how she feels

First, Ireland is tiny. Second, the largest mass migration in US history was when a million of my dirty, diseased, and beleaguered Mick ancestors boarded boats over the course of a decade and set sail to ruin America.

It should be no surprise that their visitors are from here. We are them. They are us.

Get rid of them, then see how much you like it. College and military towns are as close to being recession proof as there is. So pick your poison. Put up with the influx of people, or get used to a lower standard of living, less money for the school system, roads, and infrastructure.

100%, and that's one of those airbrushed pictures. Also notice she isn't showing any teeth. So claiming IWHI for this one is very risky.

She’s in the minority.

Dublin is trash anyway, although Limerick is trashier

The game should be in Donegal or even Galway

Statistically speaking, at least a quarter of the trashy Americans have dirty Irish blood in them
There are more people of Irish descent in the US than there are in Ireland. 34.7 million in the US vs 6.6 million between Ireland and N. Ireland.
