Communists are the biggest genociders ever, with the leaders being mainly a certain subset of people.. That symbol should be a hate symbol if anything. Germany had the most multicultural military ever, even consisting of 150,000 jews.

Like I said, he has a right to put whatever he wants. He could glue a bunch of dildos to his trailer and hang a noose from each one and I wouldn't care, but at least own up to what you are doing.

I will judge the man based on his actions.

What more actions do you need than one putting up swastikas around their house? Do you really think this is a situation of being tone death? I could be wrong.. You really never know, but if we are playing the odds. I'd say the chances of him putting up swastika signs and confederate flags around his trailer because it represents other historical meanings are pretty slim.

If you are proud enough to put it up, at least have the balls to say the exact reason you are putting them out.

The image you posted proves him right, not you. The Buddhists used a swastika that was not rotated and certainly not in a black, red and white color scheme on a flag. The Nazi swastika, which the man has on display, is angled.

I haven't posted any images, so not sure what you're talking about.

the buddhist used a different swastika. They did not.

I pointed out that his use of Swastikas were in a replication of the Nazi flag. That use is entirely different than its use in Buddhism.

I see that kind of shite like gender pronouns. Some people get bent out of shape when you use the wrong pronouns, but this is like a giant bat signal going off screaming "HEY I'M A frickING MORON!".

I appreciate their efforts to alert me that they are in fact, fricking morons.

Check out LSU’s 1933 Gumbo yearbook. It has a swastika on every page, embossed on the cover

Dang there are some neo-nazis in here. Yeah the swastika is a Buddhist symbol but have some fricking context. 90% percent of people in the world would associate the swastika now with Jew hate and genocide. The Nazis made it that way. And while I agree the USSR was bad, would you support the invasion and genocide of Russians? USSR citizens who were already being starved and murdered by their own government didn’t deserve genocide. Many weren’t communists, but had to live under communism.

There it is.

Multiple posters have stated that flying a swastika is a dick move. Pretty sure we have a consensus on the matter.

I want you to explain why he should be forbidden by penalty of law to do so. And be specific, because I might want to use that logic to strip YOU of certain rights.

He could very well just be talking about the people that are defending the swastika and pretending like it isn't a racially divisive and hateful symbol in today's world, particularly in western culture. As well as the person who is saying "at least the Nazi's were fighting communists" like that somehow mitigates their evil.

In fact, that is what most of his post was about - so unless you just read the first sentence and then reacted, I don't see how you reacted to his post in that manner honestly, because he didn't mention anything about banning someone using the symbol or limiting their right to expression - just discussed the symbolism of the swastika as well as the idea of Nazi Germany vs. USSR.

It's more than a Swastika. He painted a nazi germany flag on the side of his house.

Someone dressed up like Uncle Sam or Captain America needs to walk up to his house and whip his arse. In court they’d just have to say “Your honor, he didn’t know his history” and you’d be acquitted.

My Uncle fought against the Swastika at the Battle of the Bulge. It is a symbol of hate and racism.

I’m saying it’s a hate symbol and people shouldn’t be defending the guy’s beliefs, which some people were starting to do in the thread. I never said he can’t have it or that freedom of speech should be restricted. Don’t worry I’m not coming for your guns n shite.

I don't care if the guy is racist and really don't think anyone should be giving him legal shite over it. Should probably be ignoring it (or just put him on a watch list for mass shootings).

I take offense with him saying 'know your history' when he is wrongly attributing history.

I agree the Soviets were just as bad but both nations were run by evil people. And those Nazis had plenty in common with those communists in that both were murderous totalitarian regimes.
