Well, black Americans are more likely to be poor. Male and Female.

Wealth inequality (as well as educational) has shown to be a much more accurate indicator than race. When adjusted for inequality the gap between white and black males virtually disappears.

So yes, saying black males are more likely to commit homicides is correct. It just glosses over what is really behind that statistic. The statement is shaped to fit a narrative that black males are more likely to commit a homicide because of the color of their skin.
