I was surprised. I was watching it live. I had no idea they would have a verdict in 3 hours. And my initial reaction was worry that they were going to acquit. I had always thought conviction or hung jury. I would have been shocked with outright acquittal. But when they came back so quick…

I was in drive through with wife at Chik fil a when i popped on here and saw that verdict was pending and watched it live, in line.

Earlier I thought most likely would be hung but when I heard verdict was in so quick I was thinking guilty because I’ve just heard that a quick verdict was often guilty, obv couldn’t be hung that quickly.

Alex’s reaction was odd in its lack of emotion. Not sad or mad, seemed to me like “frick it”, just out of shits to give so deep in shite.

But for a SLED agent that testified in this trial getting a juror kicked off this morning those people would have been right

The judge received emails from people she had discussed the case with, as well as her ex-husband posting about it on social media. SLED didn’t go out and look for juror misconduct.

Paul took after his mother and they were united in finding and hindering Alex’s pills.
Buster has the same evil black eyes as Alex.
Makes sense.

Good Morning America had a juror on who said it only took 45 minutes to come to a consensus. Two who thought not guilty and one undecided changed their minds that fast.

One line from him, "He was a good liar, but not good enough" and the record of his voice in the kennel was it.

I don’t know. Alex knows regardless of this case outcome, he’s spending his life in prison. He also had probably 1-2 hours notice that a verdict was in, and being so quickly, he already knew it was likely guilty.

I just think the stakes were very different for him, knowing that he’s not a free man no matter what happens.

When and how can we go after Buster? Is he still in any civil or legal jeopardy? That dude is as sketchy as Alex.

Yeah but he would've much rather rotted away in a minimum security prison. He's going to a pound me in the arse prison now.

Buster was one of the defendents in the Mallory Beach lawsuits. These were said to have been settled before this trial began. Settled by Buster.
But.
During the trial a comment appeared that a settlement was reached on behalf of the estates of the two deceased Murdaughs and that that settlement hadn't been approved by the ?court.

Nothing about dropping Buster (whose drivers license was used by his underaged brother to buy alcohol).

In addition, the lawyer for the Beaches made a comment about the Murdaugh money being in the Cayman Islands.

So its not really over.

Can someone give me an understanding of how a jury is supposed to look at the idea of the vague "I know with no doubt that Murdaugh caused the death of these two people" (possible by paying a hitman, or working with one) and the specific "Alec Murdaugh literally pulled the triggers to kill these two people"? Are they both the same in the eyes of this trial?

What a weird trial. What little I watched, it seemed to be an odd tactic to have AM testify that he was a lier, crook, drug addict and overall crazed dirtbag. I live in SC and have friends in the legal profession and everyone knows that whole family were generational scumbags with a number of mysterious deaths surrounding them.

Whether they proved he pulled the trigger himself or not - is their any doubt AM or his actions caused their deaths? I think there was a bit of “frick this guy” in the jury’s decision.

Told y’all he was going to be found guilty. What little faith this board had. The prosecution did a phenomenal job.

Where’s the nutty Ohio state fan who was convinced they were awful?

Why are you so angry? I was providing my meaningless thoughts and commentary. Nothing to get so worked up over I beleive the state should have a very high burden of proof for damned good reasons when we know we have wrongfully imprisoned and put to death many innocent people.

It only took the jury 45 minutes to decide.

I think that was his only shot after the dog kennel video blew up his alibi.

I wonder if there is a shot that Buster gets investigated for the kid that was killed in the road? Does Alex's brothers get investigated for moving the guns, maybe evidence? How about the law enforcement negligence?

Yep. Defense must’ve felt they were losing and it was necessary to try to change the narrative…

I thought AM did poorly on cross questions concerning who did it. He engaged when he shouldn’t have.
