I just assumed Tyson was doing it for the attention now. Rolling your eyes at Tyson's Tweets is a favorite past time for many on Twitter. Only the most loyal Tyson fanboys take it seriously.

Celebrity scientists are a blight on this world. They stop caring about the actual method, they just want that next interview request

Science isn’t filled with undeniable facts. Never will be due to the limitations of human understanding. There are facts there, but they’re based on the human perspective when in reality, may not be a universal truth. Life doesn’t have to look, feel or exist like we know it here on Earth. Intelligence doesn’t necessarily have to be attached to life even, at least as we interpret it.

I recently heard an actual scientist call Tyson a science communicator, not a scientist. I thought that was a phenomenal description/quite.

Steak-Umm is correct, strictly from a scientific position.

100% For a science bitch guy to come out and claim that science is right, is just plain returded. Yes science strives to be correct, but that is the point. If all of our understanding of the universe and everything in it is 100% utterly complete, then yes you can claim then that science is right. Until then, the science will always be incomplete.
