City boys and new money are the only ones that measure land in square feet

Depends on where.

In Austin and surrounding areas, probably close to $15-20mil.

In Dallas, probably 7-10mil

In Houston, probably 5-8 mil

In bumfrick East or west Texas, probably 1-2 mill.

How much did Matthews make in the NFL? I would guess he's selling cause he doesn't foresee a future where he could pay for the taxes and upkeep for the rest of his life.

Matthews Jr or Matthews Sr?

Jr’s career earnings were about $83m. Even if you combine that with sponsorship money it is hard to see how he afforded that house.

I’m sure the new owner will love how he advertised where the “secret” gun/safe room is.

this. Google machine says he's made $80mm gross. Take at least half for taxes and agents. Let's say $35mm before he's paid his first bill. Maybe paid $15-20 for that house, then furnished it etc. Now add in an NFL lifestyle etc etc.
