The kid that got abducted from Kirby Smith in the 90’s and was found dead by the levee. Kip something I believe. Also since it says deaths and not just murders the frat pledge that died from alcohol poisoning at Murphy’s.

Anyone else think of Demolition Man when they read this?
I still can’t believe nobody in that movie won an Oscar.

Perfectly said. I went to high school with them both. You and I probably know each other...

I was going to post the kid on the Indian mounds that died with that baw decided to drive his Jeep over them.
The other one I remember was the murder at the restaurant on Essen/Perkins (Calendars?). About 25-30 years ago.

Kip Gullet’s murder. 91 or so. LSU student carjacked on campus. Tortured. Shot. Burned
Calendar’s was a former employee. He came in early on a weekend to rob the place. One of the female coworkers called 911. Could hear her begging for her life before he killed her.

That’s the one from Kirby. BRPD had snipers on the roof of Kirby for weeks after that happened.

What about the guy that stuffed his wife in the trunk of his car and buried her somewhere up in Mississippi?
Late 90s/early 2000s.
That one qualify here?
I got to testify in that murder trial.

Trucko Stampley and Aramis Jackson were too of the most evil killers during my day.
Interesting thread. Brings back a lot of tough memories.

Goudchaux’s near downtown?
I think they did a America’s Most Wanted (cold case) in the 90’s about Eleanor.

I never knew the relation there but I remember a coach Garafola from BREC. Was that the River Oaks team?
Yes. River Oaks Bengals. Coach Sonny and Johnny (brothers) were coaches.

The Calendar's murders. The restaurant on Perkins by Essen
That was done by a black policewoman if I recall correctly.
Absolutely not. That was done by the dishwasher. Maybe former dishwasher, I think he got fired that week. He lived in the neighborhood behind the Essen location and rode his bike there to rob and kill.
You must be thinking of the New Orleans restaurant murder that was done by NOPD Antoinette Franks, I believe her name is.

Remember the ditch crossing on the old Ben Hur rd before they rerouted it? There were all kinds of beads/sorority letters hung up and folks used to say it was where a serial killer dumped some gals

Another LSU student murder - Kassie Federer in 1999. Killed when someone ambushed and shot her at her apartment after class.
20 year cold case… apparently solved by a DNA hit on a killer serving life in Texas for another murder. Should he be released for some reason, another trial will likely ensue on Federer’s case.

Clay Logan. He killed his mother and tried to kill his father and sister. He went to McKinley around 1995. Supposedly he listened to “This is The End” by the Doors on repeat before doing it. Weird guy who ran with a weird crowd.
He got out a few years ago not sure where he is now.

Referring to McLaughlin? (think I spelled the name correct) LINK
I went to school with his oldest son from Elem through high school. We had just graduated HS 1 month prior.

He should have been in jail when the Beauregard Town murders happened for carrying a gun onto the LSU campus. He was out because of a certain progressive judge.
