It definitely reeks of creepy pasta from Reddit. What’s funny is there is a feed store out there off of the river Road near Roberto’s.
I don’t think they say what it was?
Facebook Link of Story

First, apologies for the Facebook link. Secondly, I have no way of knowing if this is actually true.

Synopsis:

This woman was told this story by two other women who were in Baton Rouge for business. They went out to a local bar here in town and were approached by two gentlemen dressed oddly. The description is that the two gentlemen were dressed like they were from another time (odd hats, suspenders) and spoke oddly as well, more formal, etc.

These two men hit it off with these two women and convince them to go with them to a bar “the locals hangout at“. They then proceed to drive 40 minutes outside of town. There are no landmarks given and no direction is known. They pull up to a bar in an open field that is across from a feed store.

The women go inside have the time of their life and then catch an Uber back to town. The next day upon realizing they forgot some personal item, they attempt to backtrack the Uber route. They arrive at an empty field. There is no bar, there is no building, there is no structure, but there is a feed store across the street.

I’ve lived here a long time and never heard of this. I was thinking Gator Bar but that’s been long gone. Maybe towards St Francisville or Hammond?

What say the OT? Time warp, elaborate prank, hallucinations, drug use?

So the 5mg is the strongest?

The strongest that can be purchased in LA. You are allowed to order from other states and have them shipped. There 25 mg and 60mg seltzers available for order from companies like Torch.
I believe you’re thinking of Janka Joe with Ginger their lead singer.

This is basically a payday loan

Not quite, there is no check or payment instrument to secure the loan. These are more akin to credit cards without the card. For most of the working poor, this is the only credit they can qualify for, it’s sad but a fact of life.
That chick is a recovering opioid addict. She often talks about interacting with people in the treatment community.
“Mitch Buchanan is a recently transitioned Michelle Buchanan who is returning to her hometown after escaping an abusive relationship. He is raising his trans son Hobi to fight oppression on the beach by standing up against insane conservative local councilmen dead set on stopping crime and maintaing property values, a direct affront to the local homeless community.”

Are people now satisfied that Crooks acted alone?

To my knowledge, no one has ever seen what he placed on the Discord server. If there is outstanding collateral attributed to him, it’s part of the investigation.
quote:

Let me get this straight, are you advocating for shutting down the anonymous message board discord on a different anonymous message board?

I’m sorry, where does it say that? I am advocating for a full investigation of the Discord chats by two assassins. Not monitoring Discord forever, not shutting it down.
quote:

Thanks for adding this. It did come off as “govern me harder, daddy” at first.

Changed the title for skimmers.
quote:

We should definitely beg daddy government for more spying on our communications. We have already ripped the 4th amendment to shreds so WTH.

So we should respect Robinson’s privacy for his phone and personal computer as well? And who said anything about avoiding the 4th amendment? Conduct the investigation the right way and his rights are protected.
quote:

This is how bullshite like the Patriot Act gets passed

There is evidence of both assassins using the app, why don’t you want to know who they were talking to? Don’t you think they coordinated knowledge and/or resources? No one is talking FISA, this is a damn murder investigation! There is more than enough PC to get a warrant.
quote:

Well I hope nothing happens to Discord because I actively use it for my job

The cops monitor phones with warrants all the time, why would Discord be different? It’s not going away but it is clearly an instrumentality of a couple of serious crimes.
quote:

I'd rather my government not be involved in private conversations

Right but with a warrant and PC then they should have access to any conversation that was involved in these events. I’m not talking about nanny state monitoring, I’m talking about an investigation.
So Crooks in Butler and now Robinson in Utah have been attributed to Discord server use in relation to their radicalization and possibly assassination prep. There a bunch of Antifa servers on there as well.

At what point does the government use its considerable leverage to get into these servers? Why wouldn’t all this fall under RICO with all of the rioting and planned demonstrations, and now assassinations and attempts.

EDIT: I am talking about criminal investigation not monitoring or eliminating Discord. Warrants with PC, etc.

EDIT 2: RICO is a US federal criminal statute that requires due process, investigations, and a trial.

I went up there about 10 years ago and it was like a time capsule. Menus, tables, marketing materials, etc.

It was like they locked the door in 1995 and just left. Pretty cool.

They cleaned it out recently and it’s on the lease market. No ADA compliance due to lack of entrance.

I hope your hair plugs are healing nicely!
Plain noodles with garlic, salt and little butter.

The carbs settle your stomach and the garlic is a natural anti-viral. Eat this after you’re empty.
Can’t go wrong with the dry aged or the wagyu there. Bone marrow butter is banging as well. Get a seafood tower while you’re there as well, phenomenal.

A couple of trips ago I was offered “blue rare” for the temp on the steak after I joked “bloody as hell”. Avoid at all costs, your money is worth more temp. The steak was delicious but the texture was awful.

Front Porch Addition Recs

I’m in the Baton Rouge area and I’m looking to add a brick front porch with an additional awning across the front of my house.

Can anyone recommend a good company that they’ve had positive experience with?

Frick it, I’ve done worse with less famous women who weren’t as pretty.
As a Caddo Adai, we have been robbed by this state!
Louisiana College tried this years ago with Royal Alexander and some other Shreveport folks. I think this is what ultimately led to Southern Law’s Shreveport “campus”.

Regardless, there are too many lawyers in this state. They should be focusing on limiting applications to qualified applicants to avoid the bloodbath that AI is about unleash on the legal profession.

He and my dad talked about Vietnam some but I had no idea he was with Calley. That’s crazy.

He was my dad’s mentor for a time. Used to go to his house and swim with his sons. He was a really nice man that always went the extra mile for our family.

The other name I recall is Mr. Estes. He was higher than Goff if I recall correctly. Not sure if he was the CEO or something.

I miss my summers with a fridge filled with National brand sodas and a bike that could take me anywhere. What a time to be alive!

Absolutely correct, my old man opened the Lafayette store. When the union went on strike, his workers would laugh at him going in to work. Fast forward six months and they were all out of work.

Michter’s Ft Nelson Distillery in Louisville is awesome. Then go get dinner at La Bodeguita De Mima.

Buffalo Trace is great and there is a good brewery down the street called Goodwood.

Woodford is nice but it’s a little past Frankfort in Versailles's

So what the hell is CFPB?

It’s a regulatory body created by Dodd Frank act to regulate financial services in order to protect consumers. They make up their own regulations and create fake laws to hinder financial institutions from doing business.

But how and why? Well, Elizabeth Warren was the brainchild of the CFPB and saw that it was staffed with bipartisan enforcement staff to carry out regulation and oversight enforcement. Oh wait, did I say bipartisan? I meant you only got hired if you’re a Democrat. And they’ve all stayed on with the Bureau ever since. Until now…
