Front Porch Addition Recs
Posted by Papercutninja on 6/4/25 at 4:33 pm
I’m in the Baton Rouge area and I’m looking to add a brick front porch with an additional awning across the front of my house.
Can anyone recommend a good company that they’ve had positive experience with?

Frick it, I’ve done worse with less famous women who weren’t as pretty.

As a Caddo Adai, we have been robbed by this state!

Louisiana College tried this years ago with Royal Alexander and some other Shreveport folks. I think this is what ultimately led to Southern Law’s Shreveport “campus”.
Regardless, there are too many lawyers in this state. They should be focusing on limiting applications to qualified applicants to avoid the bloodbath that AI is about unleash on the legal profession.

Oh wow, core memory unlocked. He tried to show me how to spar by his pool when I was 8 or 9. His sons were older and would try to talk shite, and we would light them up.
He and my dad talked about Vietnam some but I had no idea he was with Calley. That’s crazy.

Richard Goff was the best boss.
He was my dad’s mentor for a time. Used to go to his house and swim with his sons. He was a really nice man that always went the extra mile for our family.
The other name I recall is Mr. Estes. He was higher than Goff if I recall correctly. Not sure if he was the CEO or something.
I miss my summers with a fridge filled with National brand sodas and a bike that could take me anywhere. What a time to be alive!

Taken down by unions
Absolutely correct, my old man opened the Lafayette store. When the union went on strike, his workers would laugh at him going in to work. Fast forward six months and they were all out of work.

Michter’s Ft Nelson Distillery in Louisville is awesome. Then go get dinner at La Bodeguita De Mima.
Buffalo Trace is great and there is a good brewery down the street called Goodwood.
Woodford is nice but it’s a little past Frankfort in Versailles's

re: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was just deleted

So what the hell is CFPB?
It’s a regulatory body created by Dodd Frank act to regulate financial services in order to protect consumers. They make up their own regulations and create fake laws to hinder financial institutions from doing business.
But how and why? Well, Elizabeth Warren was the brainchild of the CFPB and saw that it was staffed with bipartisan enforcement staff to carry out regulation and oversight enforcement. Oh wait, did I say bipartisan? I meant you only got hired if you’re a Democrat. And they’ve all stayed on with the Bureau ever since. Until now…

Most Mexican places use white American cheese that is melted down in half and half. Add a little cumin and chili power as well.

Baby Billy spin-off would be better at this point
Baby Billy, Aunt Tiff, and the baby start doing international ministry trips where each season they go to a new crappy country to expand the church. Start off with him working with an African tribe and it writes itself.

You got to drop down to HWY 98 at Foley. I-10 reopens at Tallahassee but that’s a hell of a drive.

So long as everything is disclosed at the time of the loan transaction then it should be up to the consumer. I’ll never understand the shift to nanny state capitalism that I see on these boards. As soon as it may impact a poor person, we automatically assume they can’t make their own decisions.

I can’t comprehend how anyone would have an issue for this.
The junk fee narrative is a ploy by the current administration to attack private businesses and conduct regulatory oversight reach by saying anything they disagree with is a junk fee. This sort of ambiguous interpretation might start with something you like but it will inevitably trickle into an area you don’t like.

Absolutely this. The next thing that Gravy and others are going to push for is to dissolve the City-Parish system because St George are taking the”real” electorate hostage.
