Fun times on the mounds that day that it snowed back in '08. Stole some lunch trays from the union and went sledding.

And remember how people got pissed when LSU tried to limit wear and tear because got-dammit it was their right to have their kids slide down the side of it.

Huey Long didn't want to pay the contractors to move the dirt dug out for the LSU pool, had a sign erected in front of the dirt piles, and here we are.

So we’re going with two mounds in BR as the oldest structures in the world
Yes. One of the discoveries from the mounds is a drawing on scraps of leather for building a loop around Baton Rouge...

Yep.

What is so special about those mounds? There are Indian mounds all along the Mississippi River. We’re the ones at LSU where they decided they should do some others?

Bet the people that built them never would have dreamed in thousands of years some inbred Cajun college students would drive their SUVs over them and run each over on them

It's essentially, the first spot of "high ground" up the Mississippi from the coast. Perhaps that's it or has something to do with it.

That’s plausible, but I’ll need some more convincing.

A guy I know has some on his property. He tried to cut into one with a bulldozer. He said he could only shave it in thin layers at a time. They were that tightly packed.

There's no way primitive man could've built those mounds.

So a statement , not peer reviewed, by some guy. Outside of his expertise.

Graham Hancock has talked about the Mississippi Valley holding some of the oldest man made projects on earth.

Moundville Archeological Site

Near Tuscaloosa

Watson Brake

Near Monroe, LA. Site is said to be older than the Egyptian Pyramids.
