I’ve had around 10-all perfectly reasonable. Generally no difference between La. Ga. Ont. N.S. police, if you’re respectful from the beginning good things happen. Just noticing things seem to be a bit tense down there at the moment.

Many with none involving arrest due to my white privilege. Several should’ve involved arrest but there was always a sober driver.

Got three speeding tickets when I was younger.
Only interaction in the last 20 years was when a black state trooper pulled me over on Veterans Blvd because he thought I was drinking a beer. He just laughed and apologized when I showed him that it was a bottle of root beer that I had just bought from the store

In terms of it potentially ending in an arrest or ticket? Three times. Every time I was definitely guilty of one thing or another, but nothing ever happened to me. I'll chalk that up to class and charisma privilege.

ETA: As an adult, I've always made it a point to be friendly and known to local law enforcement agencies...pretty sure that's saved me more than a few times. It's funny how far a free cookout meet-n-greet will go.

I live in N.S. which is around 97% Caucasian, so white privilege isn’t really a thing if everyone is white is it?

15 to 20, majority speeding tickets, 1 because my truck fit a description from an armed robbery. More nice guys than assholes, except in Livonia, small town a-hole cops.

I was think about this-most of my interactions were involving speeding, I’ve never once been ticketed.

Do speeding tickets count? If so, 3.

I’ve only dealt with 2 a-hole cops in my life. Both were brand new to the job. I just said yes sir, even though they were younger than me. I got my ticket and went on about my life.

The time to argue a ticket is with your lawyer in a courtroom not in the side of the road

One when I was 15, driving without a license around my neighborhood. Cop let me off because I was around the block. And probably because I was a white kid.

Multiple speeding tickets since then, mostly on 165 South.

Got arrested and put in holding in Port Barre because apparently I didn't pay a seat belt ticket I'd forgotten about.

Went a good 5 years without any interaction with the police until 2 months ago I got pulled over for speeding.

Most of the time the cops are fine, but they can also be dicks looking to flex their muscles. Which I don't understand why when you're pulling over a 20 year old kid, but whatever.

The only time I felt they were being unjust was the Port Barre thing. He didn't have to arrest me and even said as much.

A few speeding tickets in my younger, pre-kids days when I thought I and everyone else was invincible and then a couple accidents. I argued with one cop in St. Gabriel over a bullshite speeding ticket but other than that all were respectable and my white privilege reigned supreme. Even when I argued and yelled at the black cop in St. Gabriel. He must’ve been racist against blacks just like the rest of them to let me go without arresting me after yelling at him.

At least 7 speeding tickets in the last 25 years.
Pulled over when told to.
Never ran away when they wrote ticket.
Never took an officer’s taser.
Lived to tell this story.

1) I never committed a violent crime or was a thief so none there.
2) all traffic stops are handled with respect, and by golly I was never shot

10-15 and never an issue. I usually have my DL, registration and insurance card ready by the time they get to my car...half the time they just gave me warnings
