In what grade did you stop saying the pledge of allegiance every day?

I’m trying to remember. I feel like I said it every day in elementary school and maybe stopped in Middle School?

Our pledge of allegiance was studied by Hitler and was the basis for "Seig Heil" and all that. While I appreciate the words of "patriotism" I find truth in those who live it in their personal actions when nobody else is looking.

At least at the time, we said it all the way through High School in Ascension Parish

There was a morning announcement with it all the way through high school.
I don't think you were ever forced to say it at any point.

You stopped?

It seems like in High School we stopped. At least I can't remember. Definitley remember 8th grade saying it.
But I'm not really a fan of it today. While I believe in allegiance to the country one is a permanent resident of, knowing the pledge was written by an avowed socialist to reinforce loyalty to the State over self, in the guise of patriotism is a bit too marxist.
It also reinforces the propaganda there is no sovereignty in the individual States and we are one big land mass and that is not how or why the Federal Government was formed.

We said the pledge until Obama switched it to the Muslim prayer

Last day of my senior year in high school. We also said a morning prayer.

Freshman year of High School.

You know we live in a different time now because at my elementary in 1980s Bossier we would have a "celebrity', usually a local news anchor or a well known children's author, call-in once a week to lead the pledge over the intercom. The only ones I remember are Louis Sacher and Judy Blume. I'm almost positive the pledge was done every morning all the way through high school.

I think middle school, except for Spanish class.
It was one of the first things we learned in Spanish and said it every day.

High School was a long time ago, but I think it was done every morning announcement.

Ninth grade. I learned about John Dewey and those other prog assholes and where it actually came from. All I've done since is swear to defend the Constitution and behave appropriately for the national anthem.

We said it on and off over the years but I explicitly remember it in senior year homeroom.
