The two women on this album cover are models **Linda Fenn** and **Jolina Mitchell**.
The record itself is the 1979 self-titled debut from **Poussez!** (helpfully pronounced *"Poo-Say"* on the jacket), a studio-based underground disco project created, composed, and produced by the legendary jazz-fusion drummer **Alphonse Mouzon**.
### The Disco Era Aesthetic Twist
If you look at the back of the jacket, you won't see Linda or Jolina listed as the musical artists. This cover highlights a massive trend in the late 1970s disco scene: **producers frequently hired glamorous fashion models to be the "faces" of a project's sleeve art**, while an entirely separate group of studio musicians and session vocalists recorded the actual tracks.
The studio vocalists who actually sang hit tracks like *"Come On And Do It"* and *"Boogie With Me"* were a group of powerhouse session singers credited as **The Poussez Singers**:
* **Christie Shire** (Christine Wiltshire, who also sang with the disco groups *Musique* and *Class Action*)
* **Holly Oas**
* **Linda Le Desma** (credited for those famous disco "moaning" vocals and handclaps)
* **Ruderial Blackwell**
The striking photography for this glittery, sequin-filled shoot was captured by New York photographer **Frank Kolleogy**, with makeup and styling handled by **Pat Evans**.

I'm old enough to remember Potliqour
This concert was in 1972 and the sign misspelled the band's name

The drummers son and I were roommates at LSU.

His dad taught me the pickled egg recipe I still use today. Great family. Huge LSU and Saints fans.
