The record itself is the 1979 self-titled debut from **Poussez!** (helpfully pronounced *"Poo-Say"* on the jacket), a studio-based underground disco project created, composed, and produced by the legendary jazz-fusion drummer **Alphonse Mouzon**.
### The Disco Era Aesthetic Twist
If you look at the back of the jacket, you won't see Linda or Jolina listed as the musical artists. This cover highlights a massive trend in the late 1970s disco scene: **producers frequently hired glamorous fashion models to be the "faces" of a project's sleeve art**, while an entirely separate group of studio musicians and session vocalists recorded the actual tracks.
The studio vocalists who actually sang hit tracks like *"Come On And Do It"* and *"Boogie With Me"* were a group of powerhouse session singers credited as **The Poussez Singers**:
