You should wish/hope/pray that ....
1. You never have to witness this with someone you love.
2. You are never in the situation to need a "depend".
Now ... go be tactless somewhere else.
Not sure you understood the Depends reference...like, at all. See my post below for some context.
Yes, I bumped a 5-yr-old thread to say that.

I ate lunch once at Roger's restaurant off Bluebonnet a couple of weeks before he hung himself.
While eating,, did you say “ewwww Vernon. This tastes like shite”…?

Is Mike Graham still alive?

I have memories of watching Vernon’s cooking segments with my dad, he would record it with the VCR then try to replicate it. He had Veron’s cookbook as well, I feel like my parents had 50 cookbooks with that same binding.
RIP to him as well. Paul Gates was a great man. I had the pleasure of eating at his home a few times, not only was the food incredible, he and his wife were consummate hosts. Just the nicest people, and Paul had the best sense of humor. He had everyone laughing all evening.

Mike Graham retired, and is alive and well, living in Arizona.

When I was a kid I used to love to watch Vernon Roger just to hear him say
quote:
MMMMMM MMM.. TONNAIRE MAIS CAS C'EST BONNE
But ole boy had his demons which is all part of being human I guess.

I felt bad for him, when he got busted as part of that prostitution sting and WAFB made him give an apology on air where he started crying. I used to like his cooking segments.

Vernon was married to Diane Deaton, the weather lady, I believe. Her picker is broke!
I wonder if his ghost haunts Place du Plantier?

I would take some Diane Deaton.

What exactly was he saying here?
"Thunder, but this is good!" If you want a literal translation.
The English equivalent is more like "Tarnation! This is some good stuff."

I always loved how the bass dropped right as Vernon took a bite.

I know who he is but i legit never actually watched the news in a solid 30+ years.
A glance or two at stuff but never sat through any of it.

Then he'd tell me that Vernon said ooo wee god damn that's good"

His daughter is still fine as hell. She struggled with his death during high school and college, but seems to have found her way.
