i assumed you were talking about 2 year olds
yes, kids who are old enough to talk and hold a conversation shouldnt be burried into devices at the dinner table
i dont see the issue with toddlers

Honestly, if your kids can’t mind then they don’t need to be in the restaurant.
Growing up my parents only took us out once we were old enough to behave. If we couldn’t they either got a babysitter (usually our grandparents or my aunt) or they just didn’t go.

That dude’s wife is 100% cheating on him and he posts about being a #girldad all the time.
What a fricking loser

The issue is that you’re creating an issue. Basically every bit of literature that has come out on the subject says that allowing very young children constant screen stimulation is awful for their ability to self regulate emotion in the future.

Part of me believes he's engagement farming, but if this is true then he's pathetic.

Yeah, if I got stupid my butt was getting whooped when I got home.

We’re screwed as a country. Dad should have spanked that kid and put a stop to the behavior, instead he enabled it. Kid will be a nightmare as a teenager.

Imagine being unable to best a toddler in mental combat.

Allowing kids to have phones or tablets while out is such lazy, shitty parenting.
...and for the inevitable downvoters I have 3 kids

No. She just knows acting like that gets her what she wants.
It’s so fricking mind blowing how many dumbass parents there are in this world.

The guy deserves to be roasted. Who cares if the kid refused to stay with the baby sitter? 10 minutes after they left the kid would've been fine.
We’ve all been there when the kid doesn’t want to be left with the sitter, with grandma, at school, etc.
Walking out the door with them melting down is painful. Then they get over it after you leave.
I’ve been both the parent and the sitter. Happens every time.

What a bitch arse take.
Use a babysitter, or…don’t be a slave to your child’s petulant behavior.
