I’m so tired of streaming services hijacking things.

All I wanted to do tonight is watch the Field of Dreams game and now I have to sign up for Netflix which I’ll never use again. How is this game not on regular TV, it’s nostalgic and American as it gets. Such bullshite.
Oh and if you want to watch every NFL game this season….
To watch every single NFL regular-season game across local broadcasts, out-of-market Sundays, and exclusive streaming platforms, you can expect to spend between $800 and $1,700 per season, depending on your existing cable/live-TV packages and whether you qualify for new-subscriber discounts.

Better just stop watching things then.
Sounds like Netflix got what they want from you.

You do realize you could rent or buy the movie on Apple TV or prime for cheaper, right?

They could play a game on the moon and it still wouldn’t get me to watch pro baseball

Degenerate gamblers can afford it. Or just find a sports bar and sip your room temperature water on Sundays.

1) Who doesnt have Netflix
2) No one is watching every regular season game and there are far more games accessible than before.

Netflix is the MTV of the streaming world. I very easily live without it.

A lot of libraries are a lot more than just books.
Many have DVDs of movies and tv series. There are alos some services that libraries subscribe to that provide movies for you to download onto your devices.
Netflix would rather you not know that they aren't the only game in town.

I know that you’re probably semi-joking, but I watch very little television anymore. The issue this thread addresses is one of the reasons.

he is not talking about the movie, it is an actual game played out in a field by MLB players

Posted on 8/13/26 at 5:31 pm to bott18240

Sucks, but you can also watch anything decent that Netflix has for the 1 month until it’s canceled.
90% of Netflix is just the latest propaganda, but they still have some good older movies.

Yeah, I'm not going to start adding services to get 1 or 2 programs.
I get Netflix and maybe one other paid service, all off and on.
Find I end up doing something better anyway if I just don't watch TV if there's nothing I want to see on those or free channels.

He doesn't want the movie.
He wants to watch MLB play in Iowa.

I’ve quit chasing sports.
I have Amazon prime and Comcast cable.
If it’s not on these, I will see the highlights.

Again. The point of streaming services is not to cut cost.
It’s to provide contract free entertainment at a lower price point.
The issue with comcast and dish was that they locked you into a 24 mo the contract and then shoved dick pill commercials down your throat. AND your content was limited and shitty.
You know what I get to watch on demand without commercials.
Lucky
Mad men
Curb
Ted lasso
Shrinking
Breaking bad
Succession
Seinfeld
Tires
The Town
Sicario
Moneyball
All for like….$50? And I can cancel whenever I want.
It’s not even close if you actually do like TV and movies. The real issue is that a lot of you don’t so you’d rather the ease of cable. And here’s something. You can still do that.
Just fricking get YouTube TV.
Edit - I don’t know what the field of dreams game is. Never heard of it.
