Jesus
You can grind them yourself and then brew the grounds in a drip coffee maker but that would actually take effort and time.
Both machines could probably cost you around $50 total.

My Keurig with a reusable cup and beans I grind myself is as good as coffee needs to be imo. I have a French press and it may make better coffee but it's doubtful. Coffee is hot water and coffee beans, you improve your water and improve your beans to get better coffee. The way the water and coffee is mixed only really matters by the grind. The faster the water touches the beans like with a Keurig or espresso the smaller the grind, the more it sits like a French press the larger you can go.
The only reason I don't use a Keurig is to have multiple cups for a larger family ready in the same amount of time.

French press far too much trouble...
I had the cuisinart grind n brew, PITA to clean and water temp too low for good coffee.
Just got a black and decker and it works GREAT, only problem is hot plate is too hot, so just put a few pennies on it and you're good to go!
amazon black n decker
ETA: while you'll lose bigly in hipster points with the black & decker logo, you can buy some expensive fair trade beans to make up for it

I have a Cuisinart cone coffee maker and a Krups grinder. Makes great coffee, if you use good beans.

I use a $20 CoffeeMate. Works just as well as any fricking Keurig.

Wifey LOVES her Ninja coffee bar.
Gave her Keurig away after getting one as a gift

Wife got me a Ninja to replace the Keurig for my birthday a couple of months ago. I didn't feel like buying the paper filters, so I wanted to make sure I could control how coarse the coffee was ground so it didn't drip mud through the permanent filter. I got a little hand grinder with whole beans and I've been making coffee like that every day ever since. I swore I would never care this much about coffee, but it has legit turned me into a bit of a coffee snob. Everything else just tastes burnt to me now.

Just a suggestion. Keep your Kuerig but instead of buying the pre-packaged kcups, get the fill your own cups and buy either grounds of your preferred choosing (or grind your own beans if you want more work) and put that in the fill your own cup, pop it into the machine and out comes some hot, really good (and cheaper) coffee. We're doing that 85% of the time now, after spending a small fortune on pre-packed k cups.

Breville Smart Grinder Pro
Bonavita 8-Cup Carafe Coffee Brewer
Solid combination for a simple nice cup of coffee. The grinder has plenty of settings to perfect your grind from espresso to press. The brewer hits a consistent temperature, and has easier clean-up/use than a press (but of course you can always throw one in the mix too when needed).

Get a good grinder then get an AeroPress. Better coffee than any drip system, faster and less mess than a french press.

A good burr grinder, an electric kettle that has preset buttons so you don’t over heat your water and a french press.....nothing beats it whatsoever.

Aeropress beats the french press all day, err day.
