Everyone is stereotyped

It's human nature through evolution

quote:

A recent analysis published by Cell Press has found that showing favoritism toward a member of one’s own social group may not be the result of learned behavior, but instead may happen simply out of instinct. While this favoritism may ultimately lead to stereotyping or discrimination, it may have originally facilitated human evolution.

Yarrow Dunham is an assistant professor of Psychology at Yale University and the author of the review.

quote:

“Researchers have found that you can randomly assign someone to a group, and even if they theoretically have no vested interest in that group, they will have persistent favoritism for it, an ingroup bias, across a range of different measures,” said Durham.

Conclusion: Only the naive libbies try to condemn stereotyping. And if they are walking thru a bad part of town and see a certain individual dressed a certain way, they will either become a hypocrite or an easy target.

That they use stats and personal appearance to preemptively judge how threatening someone is

Absolutely. Pretty much everything you mention; hand movement, etc.

Stay safe.

First off... I want to want to say Thank You for your Service to the Community...

Your post is spot on... No matter what a bunch of flaming Liberals say. Always be aware of your surroundings.

I also find it a bunch of bullshite that the Media plays such a huge roll in trying to portray the Police as a bunch of Racist killers. Cops loose their lives every day and they never seem to get any mention.. Just the deaths of Criminals portrayed as good old fashioned citizens.

55 here and Thank Gosh for the 2nd. Proud of my Concealed License.

don’t think of anybody as a potential threat, but I’m not a cop or a parent
what if you were?

What if you were a cop and you had to deal with an astronomical number of thieves and liars all day/night?

As a parent, what if you knew your only job was to protect your children?

I think it’s normal to gauge people’s characteristics. I think if you don’t, you’re not being fair to yourself and could possibly put yourself in danger.

I’m at fault a lot of times for giving way too many people the benefit of a doubt. But I still have to look st people and my surroundings to keep myself and my family safe.

Why would I be mad? I get to keep 15% of you retards refund check because you are too impatient to wait two weeks for your money.

I said it slows with age and, no matter how you nitpick the terminology, it in fact does because the processes that govern cellular metabolism in all mammals slows down as they age past certain point. Now I'm just stating what I know because I discuss this topic often and in-depth with someone with a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular pathology. You, being the microcephallic midget that you are, can only regurgitate what you read from magazine articles and first-page Google results. You don't have the education to question what you are reading either, so you just blindly parrot and consider yourself an authority on a topic you truly don't understand...
