This should be the new ad campaign for the New Orleans Visitor's Bureau

Ive been done with that shite hole for a while now. I have zero plans to set foot back on Nola soil or give that city a dime of my money.

Stay ouT of the hood (every city has them) and your in good shape.

The hood is sprinkled throughout the city, that's the problem. Save for Lakeview, you're never more than 4 blocks from the hood in New Orleans.

Or perhaps you missed the irony that every shitty thing about NOLA happens in BR, yet BR has none of the positives that NOLA does. The only reason BR is anything is LSU.

I didn't miss it at all. NOLA is a shite hole that's declining rapidly. Locals have no argument whatsoever. What positives does NOLA have? Audubon Park? French Quarter lol? I can walk around in the good areas of BR without getting a pistol put in my mouth. I can drive around without getting whiplash and aids while simultaneously avoiding passing through tent city and having fricking dirty Harry banging on my window begging for a beignet. I can still eat great food. Nobody said BR wasn't declining but not at the pace NOLA is. Nobody wants to live in that dump anymore bra.

Yea, what a spot on assessment of everyday life. Baton Rouge fricking blows compared to NOLA. You're not winning that argument.

NOLA isn't for everybody and that's fine, but to seriously argue BR is better than NOLA is worthy

Denver had tons of homeless people in the parks I visited. Was very off putting.

that's why these threads are largely ridiculous

NOLA has legitimate criticisms BUT only a few are ever brought up - and the biggest issues faces facing Nola, also face the rest of the state

ya, but new olreans has objectively better parks and better weather to use said parks

I'm not going to argue parks, simply because I haven't gone to any parks while in Denver.

But weather? Come on, that's just stupid. Denver has some of the best year-round weather you can ask for. Unless you really love swamp arse, New Orleans weather doesn't even begin to compare.

m hopeful that New Orleans will elect at minimum a semi-intelligent mayor that can begin to turn things around. But it's doubtful. Unfortunately the city will continue on its current path for quite a while. Probably smart to get out.

I would love for Nola to become a vibrant safe and clean city but am not going to be oblivious to the catastrophic problems at present.

Maybe the next mayor won't be as much of a horrible panderer as Mitch since they will be black and not feel the need to make public policy based on pandering. Maybe.

Rocket you are right. I thought about why I hate going to NOLA and every reason was due to state failures.

Roads, schools, jobs, and crime. All state and local failures.

So in reality I have issues with Louisiana in general.
