80% of it is rednecks butthurt about the statues. You did not see this daily deluge of bash NOLA threads before that situation ramped up. yeah they happened but it's off the charts out of control at this point.

The statues/chain email crowd is insufferable

I think the removal was retarded but it'd have clearly passed as an initiative if it was put on the ballot.

I didn't miss it at all. NOLA is a shite hole that's declining rapidly. Locals have no argument whatsoever. What positives does NOLA have? Audubon Park? French Quarter lol? I can walk around in the good areas of BR without getting a pistol put in my mouth. I can drive around without getting whiplash and aids while simultaneously avoiding passing through tent city and having fricking dirty Harry banging on my window begging for a beignet. I can still eat great food. Nobody said BR wasn't declining but not at the pace NOLA is. Nobody wants to live in that dump anymore bra.

New Orleans is definitely trending downward at the moment, but it's still light years ahead of that shithole that is Baton Rouge.

I still don't think it would happen as easily as you think. You think the voter turnout from the crowd that would want them gone would be all that high for a special vote?

The most vocal people have either been opposed to it or indifferent. I

Mild summers and winters due to a dry climate, and actually getting to enjoy fall rather than stewing in your own sweat on gamedays.

Sounds terrible.

Baton Rouge fricking blows compared to NOLA. You're not winning that argument.

Both your cities suck. Lafayette is now the best city in south Louisiana.

def and the statue thing was ridiculous - i agree with them

BUT these removals are now happening everywhere so youre going to have a bad time if you boycott every city which is removing them.

Average high is 65. I'd say that's pretty fricking awesome. Although I prefer the western slope to Denver.
