People from Baton Rouge would drive in to eat at the cafeteria,

I'd drive all the way there just to take a shite in their clean bathroom.

The store in metro Memphis isn’t visible from the interstate. Less sure if Germantown Rd is considered a state highway tho.

Stevie Wonder can see the IKEA Memphis store from I-40. It takes up half a mile.

They asked about zoning to the city and it leaked. No plans in place.

I was hoping they’d put one in Gonzales by the outlet. Perfect place- close to BR and it’s 2 universities and one CC, and only 35-40 mins from NO. It’s already got shopping hotels and restaurants- it’s the perfect spot.

They have some solid wood options that are impossible to touch even DIY with your own tools. If you glue them together they are solid. Sure, I like some things made with solid walnut, but sometimes you just need a shelf to put crap on.

I was thinking the same how a skaarsgard bookshelf may look out of place next to a Louis XV armchair or in an A. Hayes Town style house.

But there are plenty of DSLD and dr Horton homes around now where ikea furniture would fit right in place.

I always said they missed an opportunity to put one in NOLA or on the Northshore after Katrina. They would have printed money there with people looking for cheap furniture to get moved in to their new or newly repaired homes.

Rooms to Go built the their huge warehouse with a small showroom in Pearl River,LA and then their retail outlets in Covington & Gulfport after Katrina and did crazy amounts of business.
