Just saw an ad for 12K off MSRP on F150's

Dealers have been discounting for awhile now, it’s the certain vehicles that are popular and hard to get that’s not getting a discount. Also for months there have been low interest rate specials pretty much across the domestic truck board, you act like you know everything about the car business Depending on what you are looking for dealers will sell into the holdback to move a unit, this isn’t 2020/2021 anymore.

I’ve been hearing about this vehicle price “crash”
For a year now. I have my doubts, especially for new and used trucks

I don’t think forecasting a 15% increase in production for 2023 is a return to pre pandemic inventory for Toyota

A loaf of bread will hit 20 bucks this year

But that doesn’t bother me because I’m keto

That's funny. I took my truck to the dealership and had them disable the seatbelt alarm. They did it on my previous Tundra without question but they hesitated on my current Tundra, but eventually disabled it on that one also.

I wear my seatbelt most of the time but if I'm just backing a trailer or driving a short distance, i don't want to listen to that obnoxious dinging noise.

Looking for a Toyota GR86 Premium 6MT in Pavement.

Gulf States Toyota has about 10 on delivery within the next month or two but they are not available to dealership inventory yet. That's just Gulf States. The rest have many coming too. Be patient, grasshopper.

Im about to be in the market for a new car for my wife. I plan on paying cash, and I can sit back and wait on prices to get better. There are plenty of signs the market is going to correct with these interest rate increases for borrowers, and I'm thinking sometime after mid year I can find a good deal.

Inventory is increasing and manufacturers have announced they expect to return to pre-pandemic production levels in 2023.

I've predicted for months now that when the economic crush comes, there will be a LOT of repossessions of vehicles purchased from 2020-2022. With prices for fundamentals like food, energy and shelter staying high and/or rising, far over-valued car notes will be some of the first things getting cut (especially after Unemployment starts hitting some of those buyers).

There's very likely to be a large glut in the used car market in 6-10 months, which will also impact the prices on 2023 (and possible 2024) vehicles as buyers find themselves choosing between $30k for a new vehicle or $20k-$25k for one just a year old with less than 15k miles on it.

Those are all 10th anniversary, orange, ATs? Wait lists for these are unreal, especially at dealerships like that. Thought small town dealers would be better, but they don’t let on about lists.

Supply is increasing and demand is dampening with a slowing economy and of course less money from low interest rates.

It’s just a matter of time before prices drop

None of them will tell you about "unassigned inventory" because it will only hurt their chances at getting you to buy now. But regardless...if you feel you're getting a fair deal and have to have it now...get it now. But don't cry sour grapes when that same make/model is 5%-10% cheaper this summer.

So does every other business, not sure why people get bent out of shape over one industry.

Local dealer will add $500 to MSRP, but he has no VIN and has no idea when they will get an allotment of exactly what I want. I can do the ~$2k add to MSRP and put my name on an actual car taking the slow boat over. Have it in 6 weeks, or save $1500 and who knows? Waits have been 8-12 months as recently as now. Many people are sitting on very long lists.

Figure one hand…

Some dealers are still holding on though. I'll be in the market for a new Yukon sometime in 2024 and Covert GMC in Austin is still adding $15-25k "Market Adjustment" to theirs.

Covert Austin

Bro soyotas beep the worst. Probably almost as bad as fords

That’s why I drive a real man truck. It just beeps once. It probably has some kind of weight detector in the seat and can tell that a real man is driving because he weighs more than 200 lbs
