When I was in school and you needed to call someone, you would just go to the office and use their phone, when you were really young they would call for you

Payphones were still prominent at gas stations, parks, and retail areas though

88'er and had a very similar childhood/upbringing. One of my favorite memories as a child was the first home desktop that came in a gateway cow print box and the AOL disc that had minutes on it.

I had a 3DO, the 2nd version.
Got it in the late 90s once it had lost to the PS1 and n64 and went into freefall

Sold it to the GameWare on college a few years ago along with the games I had

But I heard the Lynx is worse. I say is because it's in the same category as the 3D0.

I had a 3D0 with Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and the arcade controller. Good times.

That's too funny.

I love that it doesn't have the orange cap on the muzzle.

This video seems completely AI generated. Everything about it. The writing. The animation. Everything.

It's so seemingly auto-generated, I can't enjoy it. I feel like I'm falling into a fricking content digesting trap.

You know kids can still do all these, right?

How big is your trust fund?

Anybody ever see a Neo Geo in the wild?

Lol, my neighbor had one and we played Samurai Shodown all the time. You're bringing back memories.

You had a 3DO and your neighbor had a Neo Geo? When you heard Jeffrey's British accent for the first time was it strange?

It all went downhill from there.

Started modding all my systems. Spring load PS, zip card for N64. Solder ps2. Dreamcast was ridiculously easy to mod.

That's exactly what it is; someone asked an AI, "generate me a video that will appeal to the Oregon trail crowd" and fine tuned it from there.

I'm annoyed that I wasted time watching the first half of it before turning it off.

My brother was born in 1987 and we were ahead of the curve on the internet and I consider him an Xennial (along with my sister who was born in 1977), but that's getting into the cutoff

I always love having these cut off conversations over generations.

I am a Xennial but was born in 1990. Same as my wife who was born in 1989.

We grew up poor and with older Gen-x siblings (born in late 70s).

We never had access to the new technology and our older siblings had a stockpile of gen-x stuff so thats what we played with

I definitely think for the new generations, socioeconomic considerations need to be taken into consideration when defining the cut offs.

But at least you could play it at night without your dad losing his mind from the overhead light being on.
