Iceland is also one of the whitest populations on Earth.

Generally a good looking and fit nation of people aren't getting married and are still happy? That's shocking

They're too busy trying to figure out how to spell their names to commit crime.

I imagine it makes a difference if the parents are single vs unmarried. Are the kids in two parent households even if they aren’t married?

Huh? The single parent rate in Iceland is 5% which is lower than countries like the US, Canada, and the UK. Carribean countries have the higher rates and Asia is on the low end, but much of Europe all hover between 4-6%.

And those values are primarily collectivist.

The US was a country whose culture was built by Anglos, who are more individualistic and believe in competition/industry.

In America, they are a huge problem.

Nordic countries have shared values amongst their populations.

Single parent households aren’t a problem there.

There's plenty of data to back up that single parent homes lead to disasterous results for children in the US.

Now if the outcomes are better in say Denmark, it could be things like maybe the parents are divorced but still both actively involved with the kids.

Single parent homes in the US actually have far better results when the single parent is male. I suspect that's because most of the children that cause problems in society (crime, drug dealing etc) are boys, and the results are poor when nobody teaches them how to be a man.

The problem is that the vast majority of our single parent homes are female led with no male involvement, and that tends to lead to bad outcomes for young boys.

They have low birth rates too. Low marriage rate isn't the same as high rate of single parenthood if the majority of the births are within married households.

And cohabitation rates are pretty high in that part of the world I think.
