It wont happen, I dont believe. Not because of the people, but because of the businesses that rely on the folks receiving SNAP to comsume.

This snap shite needs to die a quick death. This program is a democrat echo of Reconstruction. It is an infinite 40 acres and a Mule program that is an insult to humanity. My ancestors would never participate in such a charity program.

The folks that do snap are trading one Yoke of Slavery for Another One.

The democrat Plantation never ended , they may not be living in a slave cabin today but are they ?

People who collect food stamps vote Democrat 10 to 1 at the least. You’re not losing voters over it. If anything, dems have more to lose if it comes to that.

There are more white people than black people on food stamps, just because there are more white people. And I believe more "red state" and "swing state" white people than black in those states on food stamps.

Now, that is assigning voting habits by race and location, but it's the best we have.

I do feel bad for the legitimate food stamp needing folks and families. I hope they have other options right now. Sadly, that is a fraction of the total food stamp using denominator.

We should go back to handing out actual Government cheese IMO and I am being serious.

It would discourage abuse and encourage working while also meeting the nutritional needs of those actually needing assistance.

Baby stuff (diapers/formula/offbrand pedialyte/etc.)
Produce
Milk
Eggs
Cheap meat
Bread
Cheap cheese
Oatmeal
Soup
Stock/broth
Coffee
Beans
Potatoes
Noodles and cheap tomato sauce
Flour
Real sugar
Salt and pepper
Fruit juice, real, not Sunny D stuff
Bottles of water
Plain cereal like offbrand cheerios and bran
Over the counter meds

It's really not hard to make a list that keeps everyone alive and even potentially improves their health. (yes, I'm sure I left some stuff off)

All of those things, if not name brand, are cheap as hell and plentiful.

It's so cool how we have this large underbelly of society that we have to pay off so they don't kill us.

Yea I don't care what color you are or who you voted for, too many lazy people on permanent welfare. It needs to be fixed.

Lol.

Almost 4 of every 5 U.S. counties that have seen an increase in the percentage of households receiving food stamps since 2010 are in places that voted for former President Donald Trump in 2020, according to a Political Explorer analysis

In NO, for example, there is no doubt that there will be riots. In Jefferson Parish….I seriously doubt Joey allows any of that. However, I will make all of the grocery runs if it comes to that. Will not put the wife in that position. I will be strapped

You’re right, but I was thinking beyond groceries. Carjackings and other violent crime will rise.

Like you said, stay strapped.

You mean the one 100% funded by donations? I'm fine with it.

I don't know about one of them, but your bringing up the ballroom as government spending proves nothing but that you are ignorant on the subject.

The deadbeats the mooch off the system and perpetuate constant poverty are the backbone?

People on food stamps are the backbone of one of this country? Bums and freeloaders are the backbone?
