They've got cash, and I'm counting on them financing the armies of North Carolina and Minnesota. Plus Upstate New York is completely different from NYC, so I put them into account as well.

Louisiana. I can't remember if we have more guns or more bullets per capita than anyone, but we have a lot.

Even more important than this is the fact that an army marches on its stomach. And who better to feed arse loads of people at the drop of a hat than a bunch of coonasses

I'm loving this fantasy land we are in right now. California financing a war?! Those libtards would probably welcome their invading overlords with open arms.

Texas could bank roll the war effort without California in the equation. I wouldn't want those hippies anywhere near a war effort.

California Debt Clock

New York Debt Clock

Good luck with that.

Besides, take away NYC from New York and their population isn't that big, plus, I doubt they have many guns/people that would be willing to fight because they're all liberals.

California, who the frick would want California on their team to defend this country? With the exception of Pendleton and 29 Palms, that state is a shithole of liberal bullshite.

To change it up, I'll go with the Russia strategy.

Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North and South Dakota.

If anyone attacked they'd freeze when the winter came or get bored to death and go home.

I can tell you being a member of the Hillbilly-Coonass master race that almost all hillbillies are wild cards and will do whatever it takes to survive as they have been for generations. As long as they have gas they can basically be self sufficient as they have mastered the ability to grow their own food, smoke, whiskey/wine, tobacco and mine coal for electricity.

Fuel, food and firearms is what you need to win the day.

Texas has the 2nd largest GDP in the nation. California as #1 is 50% bigger. That's a lot of money even if a sizeable portion doesn't help.

I'd just hole up in Fort Knox.

Anyways, if I can't choose Kentucky give me Texas, West Virginia, Montana, Georgia and Wyoming. Mix in some cold weather.

Louisiana and Mississippi- control of the river on both sides.
Texas- tons of oil, guns, people, and military bases.
Alabama- huge steel industry and ship yards at Mobile.
Georgia- eastern coast access, Atlanta economy and road hub. Plus this cuts Florida off for easy takeover for future control of access to the Gulf. And lots of people.

Who cares about the river? It's not like having waterway access is going to be a huge deal in this day and age IMO

Selecting five Confederate states seems like a smart move.

Texas - guns and population

Louisiana - guns, the river, invaders would be scared of the Nola and BR dindus

Florida - lots of crazy people, guns, access to waterways

Alabama - well armed rednecks

Tennessee - armed, decent population, we could hide in the Smokeys

Texas
Louisiana
Oklahoma
Colorado
Wyoming

Louisiana and Texas provide water access with lots of rednecks and guns

Oklahoma provides lots of rednecks and guns plus the connection to the mountain west

Colorado and Wyoming provide a ton of open space, hard to navigate terrain, and a surprising amount of rednecks and guns

Water access outside of providing forage fish is pointless unless of course you count access to offshore rigs.
