Probably Texas, California, New York, Pa, and Michigan. New York would seal off the NE states. Cal. would take care of everything west. Texas would grab La pretty quick cause we would probably unoffically side with them anyways. Pa and michigan and half of NY would take take of Ohio first and then sweep south. La and Texas would join in a pincer movement and meet Pa and Michigan at Washington DC.

Cali- too many gun restrictions and pumpkin spice latte beta males who have never fired a weapon

NY- see Cali

Alaska- great gun laws and terrain, but terrible population #

Fla- tons of crazy ppl, guns, meth... solid choice

Tx- tons of guns, and outdoorsmen... easy/flat terrain to conquer tho... not a bad choice

California would be an incredible stronghold. Excellent resources, technology, multiple bases, Marine infantry and Aviation, large Naval command, Special Ops Commands, large Veteran population, gang members for the Militia.

They have already been invaded, they don't care, in fact they mostly embrace it.

California is divisive, but I have to lean towards underrated.

IN the aftermath, you want a society that's more functional than the one we have; armies of occupation tend to be super hard on the civilian populations-- so for every good American that has to go, so should one Californian.

Throw in that they are so large and numerous that even as a callowed occupied area, they're going to tie down a ton of resources, and that they'll drive a ton of occupiers batshit crazy dealing with their nonsense, and California works very well as the token blue state.

These threads always bring out the baws who've never left the southeast, maybe even LA. Amazing how many people think the north is one giant liberal city. You'll find just as many gun nuts up there in central PA and upstate Ny, Maine etc as you will in LA

Yep. The divide these days is between urban areas and everywhere else, not North and South. Here's liberal WA in 2016

Sure, the blue areas are more populated but there are still plenty of conservatives in those areas. I live in one of the most liberal counties in the state and Hillary didn't even pull 50%. Some people have very exaggerated ideas about other parts of the country.

I assume I'm already in Louisiana so that's my home base. So not including or counting Louisiana I would pick:

1. Tejas- no brainer
2. Florida- come on with the crazy jort wearing rednecks in the north , the Puerto Ricans in the middle and the Cubans and Jews in the south makes for a great Ally.
3. Tennessee-no idea why I picked them. I just like.
4. Alabama- we could split Mississippi with them so there's no need to bring Mississippi to our side.
5. Jawja- Probably has some of the sexiest women in the country plus a submarine base.

Pennsylvania was definitely in my top ten. In the end I went with closer allies due to the ability to help out quickly in case my troops are being over ran.
