Twitter Thread On The Subject

Second tweet has a good point. A stronger system by Jamaica could really force this upper low out of the way and not get pulled as far north as the Euro is doing. This is also a big reason why the Euro has been so far to the right this afternoon.

You can see that 98L is wrapping up and gaining latitude but also that the first trough is diving down. I believe it's the next trough that will be diving down into the SE US when 98L is south of Cuba.

Slightly OT: Hurricane Fiona is forecast to still be a hurricane when it hits Nova Soctia and Newfoundland. I hope our boy Frankie Macdonald provides regular updates from the ground there.
