Jeff was a bitch during Laura. He lost any remaining Harvey blue shed cred he still had.

Is he the one that got caught in the surge during Michael? Where he had to abandon his truck but his stream kept going and we all watched his truck float away. That stream was wild. I had never witnessed it and was shocked at just how quickly the water rose as the surge came ashore.

So much climate change, went from 30 named storms in 2020

And before 2020 the record for most storms in a year stood for 15 years

The dry air won’t do shite for landfall.

yeah it seems like it'll start over central florida, but you can see it starting to slightly pick it up in its rotation

The window to evacuate has passed for most of FL. Best to hunker down at this point.
Correct.

Prayers for all.

Jim Cantore being kind of annoying on TWC. Talks about how frustrating it is to see hurricane after hurricane approach or reach Cat5 status.

Isn't this the first US-bound major storm of the season?

Praying for you too.

Hopefully, you have business disruption insurance on top of everything else.

Just had a tornado less than a mile from my house (Vero Beach) and raining at 7.5”/hr. Damn, man. I was assured there would be no action over here on the East Coast.

yes, but this season is looking like an outlier. we've been extremely fortunate so far, hopefully ian can start to weaken.

Looks like Orlando might get more impacts than Tampa now with this current track.

Electric cars

Take all the ones that people abandoned on I4 when they died during evacuation, and chuck em into the gulf as a debris field

The wind will be pretty rough depending on the strength of Ian at that point. Flooding from rain is to be expected as well.

Zephyrhills is pretty far from landfall. Wind won't be a terrible issue. Power will probably go out because it always does. Rainfall is their concern.
