Speaking of the storm arriving, you also have the right to create a lifetime memory, if you participate, when the Blue shed stands tall and strong, shooting thunder fingers at the storm, refusing to yield an inch while everything around it was ripped apart.

Good times.

This one will apparently transform from a disorganized wave to an Idaesque destroya when it traverses the superheated Gulf. Every forecast I've seen so far bullseyes it to the Florida coast; of course that could change depending upon the anticipated frontal development early next week.

Fox- Orlando is showing it as a 104 mph hurricane, south of Jamaica, at 2 am Sunday. This varies substantially from the NHC map posted above.

ETA: ABC-Tampa is showing it as 45mph, south of Jamaica, on Sunday at 1 am.

Late September front giving S. LA some needed grace. I don't wish a hurricane on anyone esp after Ida whipped my house last year.

Whoa… this things looks to be moving quicker and way more east than when I looked mid day yesterday. Hopefully the mountains this thing passes will reduce strength and everyone comes out ok.
