The idea of "student athlete" is laughable. We need to get rid of if and just make these guys professional.

At this point, most of the athletes don't really have much to do with the university. They live in different dorms, attend different classes, and eat chef curated meals in a separate cafeteria.

So eliminating the football program (which is the primary income resource for the athletic department) would hurt the academic side financially…..

If your kid can’t do both (prioritize schoolwork most of the time but also enjoy life outside of academics) then they have a problem.
