I think I'm becoming dumber. I find myself losing train of thought. Talking into dead ends

I went into interviews this past week and I found myself losing my train of thought and losing my place when talking.
I'm a decently sharp person that's always on point.
I think I'm headed for a stroke or something. When I start posting like TH03, call the ambulance.
Anybody experienced this? Maybe there is a vitamin I'm missing for mental clarity?

How old are you?
How much do you drink each day?

I've felt that. My late 20s are a blur of all kinds of poor choices so I just chalk it up to that and hope I hang onto what I have left.

Take at least 3 days off work. When I get really busy/stressed at work I find myself mentally slipping. Completely remove yourself for a couple of days to replenshish.

It's the internet, social media and smartphone maps.
We all have ADD and quickly losing the spatial/mapping ability in our brains.

It's testosterone, I thought I had a brain tumor because I could barely make it through a legal description.

I can't tell if you're dumber than yesterday, but coming here for an answer isn't smart.

This started happening to me about a year ago. I'm convinced there must be a small gas leak or something in my bedroom because I've pretty much turned into a mumbling, stuttering buffoon when I talk to people.
I take care of myself and read a lot but I'm a legit moron now and I have no idea why.

I've noticed I do this when I don't actually give a shite about what I'm doing, even if I know it's important. Gotten a little worse as I get older and the novelty has worn off certain things I used be very focused on. I have no advice to offer, I think it's part of getting older and your brain subconsciously realizing it isn't actually all that important.

Actually it is not.
quote:
The phrases train of thought and chain of thought are both idioms. Train of thought is older and was first recorded in 1651 in the book Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes. The "train" is in the sense of "an orderly sequence," so that the whole phrase means a succession of connected ideas or a path of reasoning.
