Enjoyed most of my life with eye sight better than 20/20.
During Covid, mid/late 40s, eyes started to diminish and it was rapid to a point. Now I just buy reading glasses off Amazon dozen at a time, cause I lose them

I've been using cheaters (readers for Yankees) for 3 months now and Im 42. The fricking LED lights blind me as well. I'm happy you assholes can see the road better but you are blinding me

If you are not taking out your contacts as you were instructed to do you are risking your vision.

I use readers to see up close. Started about 2 years ago.
Funny thing if I eat unhealthy and don’t watch my diet my eyes are 20/20 if I eat healthy and watch my diet for my blood pressure and A1C then I need readers sometimes

I turned 44 in August and same thing has happened to me. Everybody tells me to go to Wal Mart and get a cheap pair of readers. Issue is I can see up close stuff fine. It’s the far away stuff I can’t see. I can’t read the ticker on ESPN anymore unless I’m really close to the tv.

I had amazing vision until 40 or so. Now I have to have readers. I hate it/them.
Went to the optometrist, thinking maybe contacts. She said "You have really small eyes" (No joke, lady, I am 5'0/95 #'s). After she struggled to put a contact on one eyeball, I massively failed to do it myself.
I have about 24 pairs. They are like Easter eggs, tucked away in random places. Temu and the flea market are my go-to places.

Go to eye dr and get some glasses. I got em at 42. Got to where I had to squint to read the mcdonalds menu from the counter and couldn't read street signs till I was relatively close.

I can barely read the movie titles when browsing on Netflix.

I knew it was time for glasses when I couldn’t pick out a spot on the shoulder of a doe 30 yards away. Sucks to suck.

I don't drive with rain and darkness... I usually try to avoid either of them but will do it if I need to. Both? Not happening.
Just had my 43rd birfday in the last month.

A lot of eye doctors just try to hurry you up and sell you a pair of glasses then send you out the door. It could be something else. Make sure you go to someone good who will take the time to give you a thorough exam while checking for other issues.
I went to an eye doctor who did that and sold me glasses that didn't work. He also told me one of my eyes would never be able to see clear again. A couple months later I went to a different doctor for a second opinion and it ended up being cataracts. You don't have to be old to get them.

Wait until you get in your 60s and get double vision and then have to wear prism lenses.

I made it to 40, then bifocals

It’s a natural defense mechanism. You won’t be able to see your wang diminish next.

My need for readers started around 50; now, at 59, I use a +3 for reading and 1.5 for ideal watching TV and driving. I can get by without the readers for distance if I have to, but it is a lot easier with them now.
I really hate heavy glasses and those with adjustable nose contact points. Lightweight is so much better. My go-to is Home Depot. They are everywhere and have good opening hours, and readers are about $5 and not stylish but comfortable readers.

At some age, you’ll have to go to the DMV and take a vision test to renew your license. Before you go, memorize lines 4 and 5 on the standard eye chart. There’s another eye chart with E’s facing different ways that you might encounter so memorize the same lines like you would a Nintendo cheat code.
You’ll pass the vision test with flying colors!

Go overseas to an Asian country and get lasik and a free vacation with the difference in costs. Also, their doctors are exponentially better than American ones at the procedure.
