IMO, it will have a much bigger impact if her fans know she supports the cause and result in them giving when they wouldn’t have done so otherwise. She has a very loyal following outside of the OT.

It has become the thing to bash her because it got annoying to constantly see her. That being said, she never did anything about her ticket prices. Enjoy your money girl

Did you Donate $250? I know I did not. Hate on her for whatever valid reason, but this is a generous act.

No, I don't live in Kansas City or have any other connection to the community.

There is a difference between questioning whether a celebrated storyline is merited and "hating" or diminishing Swift spreading money around. I'm doing the former, not the latter.

I just heard KFC had a Taylor Swift 5-piece special available right now. It includes to 2 small thighs, 2 small breasts, and a left wing.

If those 2 idiots hate her, then I love her...

It's a generous act, much like when she gave every single person working on her tour a $100K bonus.

I'm glad to be on a board with sooooo many generous people.

It's more like throwing spare change in the Salvation army container

But it's not like she should be ridiculed for it. It's still a good thing.

She’s worth roughly $1billion. $100,000 is .01% of her net worth. In other words, if you’re worth $1million it’s equivalent to giving $100. Nice PR move for $100.

Ummm, wasn’t it teenagers shooting at each other at the parade that caused the carnage?

Why can’t you people just view this for what it is. A kind thing to do. Comparisons to pocket change and the like are not.

So how much should she donate to satisfy the average Joe like yourself? Far from a Swift defender, but statements like yours are some of the most ignorant on this board.

She donates a shite load of money to the food banks in every city she plays. Some of y’all just look for things to get upset over

It is. It just irks me that the same media/popular culture that'll browbeat families making 200k that they're not paying their fair share in taxes will write stories and celebrate billionaires tossing money at a GoFundMe. It all just seems so dishonest. The reason is obvious, they do it because celebrating Swift for a nice but mundane (to her) gesture will get them clicks.

I don't fault the billionaire, mind you, and I certainly don't think LESS of Swift because of this. Not judging her motives, etc. I'm just yelling (posting) at clouds (dumb popular culture).

If she didn’t send anything this board would shite on her relentlessly. Yet not one poster her donated a dollar, which we can all afford.

She donated 100k which is an unbelievable amount of money to the victims family. She has no connection to the victim other than her boyfriend plays on the victims favorite team.

That’s very generous and she deserves praise.

She's not being attacked, sport. And she's not going to see this.
